Rafael Belfort Basically, the weapon defense is the same defense as the shield, which means the weapon defense will only work if you dont have a shield. Also, the defense (when its a weapon) its based on your melee skills instead the shielding skill. Nowadays, using one handed weapons are kinda useless, unless you keep dieing too often on the places you usually hunt. Another protip, utito tempo makes your defense/arm go to 0, which means you take full damage when utito is up. Although the %protection (i.e Zaoan Helmet that gives 5% physical) keeps all the time. In conclusion, using shield is only worth till 250 (maybe less, if you have a dedicate sioer) or if you hunt places which you still doesnt have enough lvl.

Shield is not quite useless if you are low level, beacuse if its a Ornate Shield thats a +5% protection (remembering the protection is multiplicative and not additive) it helps when you are low level, since you got less HP. And thats true, if you have 3 or more monster they break your shield. Also, the arm is a different formula. The arm is 1 to 5 damage reduction and the defense is based mostly in your skills melee/shielding that will reduce, so its kinda hard to say how much it reduces

Life leech decreases damage? Didn't know that. It's still really helpful. As a lower level example for how much of a difference two Powerful Life Leechs makes in terms of profit: I have a 291 EK. One of my favorite hunting spots right now is The Wreckoning, home to all varieties of Pirats. They are all weak to Earth, so I use either the Lion Longsword (8 phys + 44 earth) with Gnome Shield or Tagralt Blade (7 phys + 49 earth). With only ~110 Sword skill after skill boosts, I can go almost completely without using healing potions of any kind when using 2 Life Leechs, even when completely surrounded, as long as I don't use Utito Tempo. In total, I may use 3 or 4 UHP per hour. But with only 1 Life Leech, suddenly I'm using UHP as I normally would during hunts, maybe 100+ per hour. But if you're a Sword user like me, Umbral Master Slayer will become useless once you can get your mitts on the mighty Falcon Longsword, which is also pure Physical damage, but has 2 more attack than the Umbral weapon.

What is happening in case of imbuing an Umbral weapon with crit and skill bonus. Else with destruction weapon with crit/skill/element. Is mana always necessary on weapon as well as on the helmet? Isn’t 1 enough with just offensive imbuings.
You only have two means of refilling your mana: mana pots (100 per turn) and mana leech (depends on your damage). If you want to speed up your hunts you have to spam spells to kill everything faster, making mana leech an important addition because it will help you spam more spells, otherwise you would need to stop and refill your mana every once in a while, slowing your hunts and exp.
Thats an easy question, for bosses you MUST have an Umbral Master (which is the strongest weapon) and you can add more skills (4) and Crit, the rest is just useless in boss. In overall uses Destruction Weapons are way more important, since they will save you money and time with pots.

maybe if u can focus the videos not only for solo hunts, for team hunts too please, places like prision 3, rosha with ed, catacombs etc.. i think all places for team hunt the umbral is better less plague seal for the high dmg
Sure, you can apply these things to teamhunts too, it's better to use umbral in teamhunts because you can be healed so there is no need for that extra life leech.

I have an EK 500 and most times i imbue my umbral with powerfull vampirism and void because i have much dificulty to hunt strongs respawns solo like rosha west, catacombs (evil) and prison -1 without vampirism. In this case, do you think that would be better to hunt with destruction weapon instead umbral until i get lvl enought to use umbral? Thanks ;)
Thanks! You are correct, destruction weapons will fit you better until you start noticing you have full mana and hp when hunting, then you can switch to umbrals. And when you make that switch happen I'd recommend changing life leech for critical strike; you'll waste more SHP but you'll hit more overall and monsters will die faster.

When you feel you have enough HP to hunt a certain place. 2h weapons make you more vulnerable so you have to compensate this with more HP. In overall you have to be stronger to start hunting with 2h weapons.

The idea of switching to Umbral weapons is that you trade life leech for extra damage. Using life leech instead of crit would leave both weapons with almost the same damage output (Destruction weapons will be slightly above Umbral ones) but you'd save the costs for the third imbuement.
Só esqueceu de mencionar que as armas destruction estão disponíveis a partir do lvl 100, e são muito mais baratas. As armas umbral são lvl 200+ e extremamente mais caras.
It's not a "chance", the extra points in attack and skill are always there. You end up dealing more damage in average with Umbral weapons, but you need to heal yourself more to compensate that.
Essas master umbral hj são armas totalmente ridículas, a cip já deveria ter colocado 3 slot na de duas mãos e 2 na de uma mão, não faz sentido ela ser 2 slot pelo preço que é, sem contar que não afetaria nada no desequilíbrio tendo em vista que a falcon é MT superior e as soul são extremamente quebradas.
If you imbue Umbral like that then you miss the point of trying to deal more damage. Destruction weapon outclasses Umbrals because critical strike is OP
I agree, the difference is small. I did some math and found that for an avg melee hit for me the difference is close to 1-2 points (367 vs 365) with dest. weapons as highest dmg. It's a solid choice if you have an Umbral wpn and also want to save a bit on imbuements
O sio ajuda a manter a vida cheia, porem você sofrerá muito menos com umbral, nesse caso fica melhor a umbral porque compensa a falta de life leech e bate mais dano.

considero umbral util apenas para hunt 2 voc e em um unico place especifico, rosh, otherwise em qualquer outro tipo o destruction será melhor opção, o umbral nao te da opção de imbuir, é simplesmente mana/crtic, o destruction lhe possibilita X imbuiments types, dependo do local que vc caça, nao é tão simples manter a life full usando umbral, mesmo sendo em rosha, pra cada tipo de lugar, em catas por exemplo, caso seja 2 voc ou 4, considero ainda o destruction melhor opcao, pois vc tera mana/critc e skills imbuido, plagirath por exemplo vc tera mana/critc/energy, é indispensavel o energy em plagirath, modestia parte, usar umbral em plag é perder xp, para vexclaw vc vai precisar de life/mana e critical, acaba nao sendo tao simples assim, a gama de possibilidade da destruction faz ser uma arma muito superior ao umbral, vc é mais um solo player, porém pra quem caçar tanto solo quanto 2 ou 4 voc, deveria optar somente por destruction e ter ao menos 3 axes, considero umbral totalmente dispensavel.

I did some math and found out some interesting things: the best weapon overall would be Umbral with crit/mana leech, but in specific scenarios such as Ferumbras Plague seal, where energy deals more damage, you end up dealing more damage overall (2-3% damage increase). That's because you ignore part of their armor when dealing elemental attacks and get the extra damage (armor reduction only taxes physical damage). but if you go to Oramond Catacombs, where you find monsters with different resistances, you start losing the benefits of elemental damage. So I have to say you're partially right, it is clear there is a slight improvement in damage when using Destruction weapons in specific scenarios, but you can use Umbral weapons in places where mobs have mixed resistances to have the best damage output. P.S.: You mentioned Vex seal and the need to have the extra life leech there, that's needed only if you can't withstand the damage of Vexclaws, but if you manage to hold their damage with 25% life leech, Umbral will be the best choice because that is a place where mobs have mixed resistances (Vexclaws are strong to energy, and hellflayers are strong to ice). np, as i have told you, you are very good/skilled EK, but, you hunted with top ed, at vex and did 3.8kkh, right? i did 4kk with ed 710 and ml 116, using 2 life leechs and making easy for ed, so he could wave even more as possible, using 1 handed weapon,chestplate imbuid with life and fire reduction and gnome shield with energy imbuid, this make the hunt more easier, and he is not the best ed i've hunt, i can do even more with others ed that i play in guardia, so its depend of the situation of the hunt, how skilled you are etc, you are very skilled EK, and i dont think many EK, i could say, not even 10 ek on tibia can hunt like you, using just umbral for everywhere, they gonna have a shit tom of problems, but ye, its always good to see new kinda of types hunting as you do :), sry if my english aint perfect but you will understand
Sim, realmente aquela combinação de imbuements ajuda a aumentar a XP. Eu uso a Umbral para tudo por causa da comodidade (posso caçar em quase qualquer lugar com ela). Mais depois de ler isso vou tentar fazer um bom teste com a destruction de crit e energy. Valeu!
Olá denovo! Achei algo interessante hoje, e tem haver com a suposta redução de dano por causa do dano físico. Nas contas que eu fiz anteriormente nunca considerei que a redução de dano pela armadura dos bicho ia a ser a mesma nos dois casos, eu pensava que por ter metade de dano elemental, metade da armor não é tomada em conta mas não é assim; o dano reduzido pela armadura continúa sendo igual porque você está fazendo dano físico e a redução nao é em percentagem, é um dano que resta da parte física indiferentemente do % elemental que você tenha na sua arma. A única maneira de evadir completamente a armadura é com 100% dano elemental e os knights não tem como fazer isso. Então eu fiz as contas denovo, e vi que a destruction com crit e dano elemental só compensa a partir de uma diferença de pelo menos 10% entre físico e o elemento a usar. No meu caso com Umbral eu faço em avg. 383,3 de dano em bicho neutral a físico, e para eu fazer o mesmo dano com crit e dano elemental o bicho tem que ser fraco uns 10% do elemento a usar (o dano avg. sería 383,5 nesse caso). Estaría adicionando apenas um 0.0005% naquele caso específico, sem ter em conta o gasto de mais 1 imbue. Como na maioria dos lugares a diferença de resisténcia dos bichos entre físico e um elemento difícilmente supera os 10%, a umbral vai ser melhor do que a destruction na maioria dos lugares. Um dos bichos que compensa matar com elemento sería o Juggernaut porque a diferença entre físico e energía sobrepassa os 10%. Além do jugger, duvido que tenha algúm outro bicho com alguma diferença parecida, mas esse sería o caso aonde a Destruction é melhor que a Umbral.
You're sacrificing damage because you cannot balance properly your mana/life well enough to let go of life leech. Choose those imbues and you will underperform in exchange of comfort.
It depends on what you want; the extra points from Umbral weapons help you deal more damage overall, but Destruction weapons keep you safer at expense of less damage.
What's the big the deal? If you compare for example paladins they use bow of destruction with 3 slots.. Umbral Master bow have the same atk difference is only +3 distance skill and 1 less Imbuement slot..
i felt a huge difference at least for the sword, i used to deal 250k dmg more while hunting compared to my MS, with the two handed im dealing 400k/450k + comparing to him now butt im hitting yellow HP more often cuz i dont have the life leech imbue anymore to help my ED on the healings
Paladin weapons are a bit different and I left them out of the video. Some of the things I explained still apply to those weapons but they have some differences.

Mana imbue is just such a cost savings though. Look at how after every attack his mana jumps. Imagine having to pot up all that mana.

Yo iria con la blade, y los imbuements siempre se pagan, si tu team no carga imbuements te costara mas pagarlos eso si

The damage output is similiar. However, you are using one extra imbue every time you want damage similar to the umbral, keep tha in mind.

Hola me gustaria tomar este video para hacer una pregunta -- Cultura general xd.. Me gustaria saber si las Armas DESTRUCTION se agotan y te rompen como por ejemplo la Rod DESTRUCTION , sin mencionar que no esta imbuida es posible sacar un video donde expliques eso y sobre todo que salga el estado en el que queda el objeto luego que pierde el encanto porfavor si eres amable

What if instead of leaving life leech out, you leave critical out of the umbral?
The idea of switching to Umbral weapons is that you trade life leech for
extra damage. Using life leech instead of crit would leave both weapons
with almost the same damage output (Destruction weapons will be
slightly above Umbral ones) but you'd save the costs for the third
imbuement.
Só esqueceu de mencionar que as armas destruction estão disponíveis a partir do lvl 100, e são muito mais baratas. As armas umbral são lvl 200+ e extremamente mais caras.

So you'd rather have a chance to deal more damage than being sure to have the sustain?
It's not a "chance", the extra points in attack and skill are always there. You end up dealing more damage in average with Umbral weapons, but you need to heal yourself more to compensate that.
Wouldn't it be better to sacrifice the crit for life leech since it's garanteed effect then ?
If you sacrifice crit then you end up dealing less damage, the point of using Umbral weapons is to maximize damage output.
Essas master umbral hj são armas totalmente ridículas, a cip já deveria ter colocado 3 slot na de duas mãos e 2 na de uma mão, não faz sentido ela ser 2 slot pelo preço que é, sem contar que não afetaria nada no desequilíbrio tendo em vista que a falcon é MT superior e as soul são extremamente quebradas.

What is better umbral with life and mana vs destruction with life mana and crit.

If you imbue Umbral like that then you miss the point of trying to deal more damage. Destruction weapon outclasses Umbrals because critical strike is OP
You rely heavily on having mana, so mana leech is a must.
I agree, the difference is small. I did some math and found that for an avg melee hit for me the difference is close to 1-2 points (367 vs 365) with dest. weapons as highest dmg. It's a solid choice if you have an Umbral wpn and also want to save a bit on imbuements

O sio ajuda a manter a vida cheia, porem você sofrerá muito menos com umbral, nesse caso fica melhor a umbral porque compensa a falta de life leech e bate mais dano.

considero umbral util apenas para hunt 2 voc e em um unico place especifico, rosh, otherwise em qualquer outro tipo o destruction será melhor opção, o umbral nao te da opção de imbuir, é simplesmente mana/crtic, o destruction lhe possibilita X imbuiments types, dependo do local que vc caça, nao é tão simples manter a life full usando umbral, mesmo sendo em rosha, pra cada tipo de lugar, em catas por exemplo, caso seja 2 voc ou 4, considero ainda o destruction melhor opcao, pois vc tera mana/critc e skills imbuido, plagirath por exemplo vc tera mana/critc/energy, é indispensavel o energy em plagirath, modestia parte, usar umbral em plag é perder xp, para vexclaw vc vai precisar de life/mana e critical, acaba nao sendo tao simples assim, a gama de possibilidade da destruction faz ser uma arma muito superior ao umbral, vc é mais um solo player, porém pra quem caçar tanto solo quanto 2 ou 4 voc, deveria optar somente por destruction e ter ao menos 3 axes, considero umbral totalmente dispensavel.

I did some math and found out some interesting things: the best weapon overall would be Umbral with crit/mana leech, but in specific scenarios such as Ferumbras Plague seal, where energy deals more damage, you end up dealing more damage overall (2-3% damage increase). That's because you ignore part of their armor when dealing elemental attacks and get the extra damage (armor reduction only taxes physical damage). but if you go to Oramond Catacombs, where you find monsters with different resistances, you start losing the benefits of elemental damage.
So I have to say you're partially right, it is clear there is a slight improvement in damage when using Destruction weapons in specific scenarios, but you can use Umbral weapons in places where mobs have mixed resistances to have the best damage output.
P.S.: You mentioned Vex seal and the need to have the extra life leech there, that's needed only if you can't withstand the damage of Vexclaws, but if you manage to hold their damage with 25% life leech, Umbral will be the best choice because that is a place where mobs have mixed resistances (Vexclaws are strong to energy, and hellflayers are strong to ice).

np, as i have told you, you are very good/skilled EK, but, you hunted with top ed, at vex and did 3.8kkh, right? i did 4kk with ed 710 and ml 116, using 2 life leechs and making easy for ed, so he could wave even more as possible, using 1 handed weapon,chestplate imbuid with life and fire reduction and gnome shield with energy imbuid, this make the hunt more easier, and he is not the best ed i've hunt, i can do even more with others ed that i play in guardia, so its depend of the situation of the hunt, how skilled you are etc, you are very skilled EK, and i dont think many EK, i could say, not even 10 ek on tibia can hunt like you, using just umbral for everywhere, they gonna have a shit tom of problems, but ye, its always good to see new kinda of types hunting as you do :), sry if my english aint perfect but you will understand
Sim, realmente aquela combinação de imbuements ajuda a aumentar a XP. Eu uso a Umbral para tudo por causa da comodidade (posso caçar em quase qualquer lugar com ela). Mais depois de ler isso vou tentar fazer um bom teste com a destruction de crit e energy. Valeu!

Achei algo interessante hoje, e tem haver com a suposta redução de dano por causa do dano físico. Nas contas que eu fiz anteriormente nunca considerei que a redução de dano pela armadura dos bicho ia a ser a mesma nos dois casos, eu pensava que por ter metade de dano elemental, metade da armor não é tomada em conta mas não é assim; o dano reduzido pela armadura continúa sendo igual porque você está fazendo dano físico e a redução nao é em percentagem, é um dano que resta da parte física indiferentemente do % elemental que você tenha na sua arma. A única maneira de evadir completamente a armadura é com 100% dano elemental e os knights não tem como fazer isso.
Então eu fiz as contas denovo, e vi que a destruction com crit e dano elemental só compensa a partir de uma diferença de pelo menos 10% entre físico e o elemento a usar. No meu caso com Umbral eu faço em avg. 383,3 de dano em bicho neutral a físico, e para eu fazer o mesmo dano com crit e dano elemental o bicho tem que ser fraco uns 10% do elemento a usar (o dano avg. sería 383,5 nesse caso). Estaría adicionando apenas um 0.0005% naquele caso específico, sem ter em conta o gasto de mais 1 imbue. Como na maioria dos lugares a diferença de resisténcia dos bichos entre físico e um elemento difícilmente supera os 10%, a umbral vai ser melhor do que a destruction na maioria dos lugares. Um dos bichos que compensa matar com elemento sería o Juggernaut porque a diferença entre físico e energía sobrepassa os 10%. Além do jugger, duvido que tenha algúm outro bicho com alguma diferença parecida, mas esse sería o caso aonde a Destruction é melhor que a Umbral.

You're sacrificing damage because you cannot balance properly your mana/life well enough to let go of life leech. Choose those imbues and you will underperform in exchange of comfort.

Elemental damage sucks compared to critical strike; elemental damage only works against specific creatures and deals less damage overall than crit ;)
3 Imbuement Slots > 2 Imbuement Slots all day !
It depends on what you want; the extra points from Umbral weapons help you deal more damage overall, but Destruction weapons keep you safer at expense of less damage.
if you are team hunting 2 imbue slots are more than enough, helps your team more by dealing more dmg > increasing the xp/hr
What's the big the deal? If you compare for example paladins they use bow of destruction with 3 slots.. Umbral Master bow have the same atk difference is only +3 distance skill and 1 less Imbuement slot..
i felt a huge difference at least for the sword, i used to deal 250k dmg more while hunting compared to my MS, with the two handed im dealing 400k/450k + comparing to him now
butt im hitting yellow HP more often cuz i dont have the life leech imbue anymore to help my ED on the healings
Paladin weapons are a bit different and I left them out of the video. Some of the things I explained still apply to those weapons but they have some differences.
