As an example, when Richard had a heart attack he left everything behind and flew to her in a helicopter. He loves her and I don't think that will ever change. Yes, that he got engaged is stupid. But I think he was just hurt by Rory's rejection. In the short series that came out in 2016, Rory could have gotten together with Jess, but no, she chose Logan. She still loves him and I don't think Jess can do anything about it. I believe they could remain good friends. Jess must want more and I can imagine that Rory would like to give it to him too, but she just can't. She still loves Logan, otherwise she wouldn't have started an affair with him! I wish the two of them get back together because what they had was real love.
