- How do you find time to rest, reflect and dream? 🌻 Sometimes you need to getaway from everyone and everything to create space for it. That’s what a solo retreat enables you to do. I spent the past few days in a tiny cabin in the woods reflecting, dreaming, and planning for the future and it was INCREDIBLE. So join me as I take you along for the retreat and show you what I did for my solo retreat and how you can plan one too.

@ecadizflesI’ve done Getaway twice now, by myself. You are essentially at a campground… around 40 cabins, spread out for privacy. If you yelled, someone would hear you.There is a staff house on the property, and a phone in your cabin. And staff communicates with you via text if needed. I felt very safe.

I was on a solo retreat in the past, and I am going again this summer ☀️
I’ve never gone a solo retreat for financial reasons. I do have a friend though that I dog sit for in the summer. Her house is really nice and cozy and she has a wonderful back yard. I do get to go there and get away from real life for a few days each summer.
Does anyone else feel like they could literally live there? 😍😍
My husband had promised me a child free night away on my own this summer - you've just persuaded me to book a cabin in the middle of nowhere rather than a hotel, looking forward to it even more now ❤

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,572 subs and > 1,000 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
The editing came out gorgeous and well worth those extra hours! The place sure does look amazing also. Very well done.

Thanks for sharing! I have taken several solo sabbatical retreats. It's been times of prayer, rest, refreshment, and planning. I have experienced God in such wonderful ways during my solo retreats.
Beautiful, Ashlynne. You took many shots, so I hope you were fully able to enjoy yourself and get lost in the peace instead of making a video for us. Ty for sharing, though. I live in over 50 acres which is mostly wooded. We do have some trails but the weeds have gotten really tall so I usually take the 4 wheeler. I get lost (not literally) and focus on the trees, sounds with the birds, take pictures of different wildflowers. Take a look at our small creek and pond. It can be so incredibly peaceful. It is very soothing for the soul. I'm so happy you enjoyed your time away!

But when I was living togheter I went once A year to the sea here in Belgium. Just a couple of days for my own. To rest, journal, write and walk... I loved it. Thank you so much for sharing. That was incredible. You are so lucky to live in such a lovely country that offers such heavens within easy reach. I live in a crowded island in the Mediterranean and all I can see around me is concrete. Never underestimate that privilege !

This is such a beautiful message of self-care and capability of women to take time alone in nature. I love to take hike alone- it’s so relaxing and really puts my anxiety in the backseat while I look at God’s creation (especially when I see the animals!). I’m glad to hear this is such a rewarding and spiritual time for you too!

Wonderful video. Beautiful scenery. I live in an area with lots of trees and our neighborhood is actually listed with the Audubon Society as a nature preserve. There is a creek at the back of our lot with walking trails. I have my very own getaway place right at home . Drawback is that there are lots of deer to eat your landscape plants and forget a garden unless it is fenced in, otherwise you planted a salad bar for them!

From time to time I go here in Germany with my boyfriend to the North Sea, it's also very comfortable there with lots of nature and peace to recharge your batteries and come up with new ideas.

I did! There are just enough cabins there that it makes it feel like you’re not completely alone. There is a sturdy lock on the door. And they also have a landline you can use in case there’s an emergency. It’s also all on private land too. So all those things combined together to make me feel very safe. Definitely safer than I would in a big city 🥰

Girl..... I did one in the Fall and it was pure magic!! I absolutely LOVED it. I am very extroverted and extremely social and on the go non stop so I found this to be soooooo needed and you truly feel so balanced and grounded. I did exactly what you did . I know that you are a tea drinker but just wanted to mention... everyone said you must try their coffee in the get away house and im a coffee freak lol so i did.... I have no clue but that coffee came in a bag just like tea and it was DELICIOUS. The waking up in pure sunlight and in the middle of the vibrant Fall foliage and falling asleep under all of the stars was beautiful and it was a glimpse of Heaven and Mother Nature at her finest. It looks like you had an awesome experience and I would recommend that everyone do this at least once a year.❤😊

Haha honestly I wasn’t! I think the fact that there were a few other cabins nearby and a landline for emergencies really made me feel a lot safer and more comfortable. Although I definitely still locked the door and all that. 😉
We live on property with trees and a lake so we really enjoy our outdoor space.
