Hi Great presentation, Thank you very much for these valuable info. I m literally watching all your videos on the daily bases in order to get all the info possible cause I m about to start my farm. Thank you!
Kudos my brother for a great presentation and explanation. Its a really big help for the starters. I would like to connect to you for some questions. Salute.
It was really a nice lecture, thanks so much for dedicating time to Africans and the entire world. What else can we use to substitute sun flower, soya bean meal, and cotton seed cake in formulating layers mash. Thanks you
thanks for the well-detailed information Antonio. am in uganda and where i am , we dont have things like wheal pollard, wheat bran becouse we do not grow wheat in uganda. what can i substitue with wheat inorder to make a 70 kg feed for growers mash. thank.
Mr. Mudongi, i do have a series of questions 1. in the layers mash, you did not include salt, would that affect chicken? 2.you mentioned sunflower being one of the macro ingredients, however , you never put it in the formula, does that affect the DCP in anyway? 3.What can i replace Theonine with, as our country has metheonine, lysibe, Salinoth, Sulcurb, enzymes? Or are those above names the same as the ones you have mentioned? 4.For the Growers mash, what can i replace the maize germ and bone meal? As we can not easiy access them. we however have alot of whole grain maize, and shells. can wheat pollard do the same as wheat Bran, or are they just the same ?
Hi the presentations are on point and very informative, question what do you mean by whole maize, I have never seen whole maize on growers mash, or do I need to grind them?
Thanks for your wonderful teaching skills. I really appreciate. kindly assist me with this; How did you arrive at the measurement formula for each of the micro nutrients in grams as listed. Or, is it that, the same grams will apply irrespective of the quantity being prepared?
Thank you for educatating the word and those who are oppressed by feed manufacturers. For growers mash why need fish meal and bone mill ? Both are animal protein why can't you have one.
Good evening sir, kindly advice. Here in Malindi, copra cake is readily available. For what component do we substitute copra for. Secondly, if we can acces babobab cake, how much of it should i use in my feed since its the most affordable
Hello sir, thanks for your video. But I didnt understand how you arrived at a DCP of 20% for the layer mash. From my understanding 70 kg gave us a DCP of 14 %. Is the DCP requirement of at least 18% equivalent to a 100 kg bag??
Good lecture brother am from DR Congo as we dont have here Wheat polar, Cotton seed and sunflower. Then other ingrédients that can I replace these three ? Please need your answer ASAP
My dear I really appreciate you for being objectively and selfless in give out information about Mash production. Am Nigerian based in Qatar (Middle East) I will be delighted if you would give me your contact details that will enable me to get you. I will plan my vacation to visit you in your country home Kenya.
Nevermind...just realized that Oyster shells are source of calcium like lime. But what is the DCP value for Wheat bran? I have checked online and there seems to be different values. Also checked maize and there seems to be different values also (some lower than the 8.23% you mentioned). Where did you get the DCP values? Secondly, in your example of 70kg bag of layer feed, how did you know to use the different kgs you used for each ingredients? You could have, for example, used 30kg of maize instead of 34kg and 16kg of soya instead of 12kg, and you will still get 70kg. Using 30kg and 16kg will probably resulted in a different crude protein content percentage, but my question is, is there a way to determine the kgs of each ingredients needed? If to say I want to make 50kg bag of feed for layers and aiming at atleast 18% DCP, how do I know the amount of kgs to use for each ingredients without having to do different weight combinations before arriving at the right weight combination?
Hellow mr, as I have read somewhere that feed formulation is all about balancing protein and energy. My question is why haven't you shown us how to balance energy also. Please help me to clear this mess.
Hey Donald Thats a good observation. What determines feed formulation is the % DCP. Note that this is a TMR (Total Mixed Ration). Thus in itself %DCP can only be acquired when there is a balance in required nutrients for a particular bird at a particular stage. We can go further and state that for example layers require low animal protein and higher plant protein to enhance higher egg production and increase lifespan Where as chiks require less plant protein and more animal protein for organ and feather formation. Pullets would require more carbohydrates for energy due to higher activity etc etc. So it is not all about protein Carbohydrate balance. You shall not meet your requirements if you go that way. Thanks
IAM tanzanian interested in feed formulations ,thanks for a wonderful presentation but I don't get you and I don't see clearly when writing, kindly send formulations guidelines
Thank you for the knowledge. However, can you explain why there is no bone meal in the layers feed. Without calcium birds don’t convert phosphorus properly, therefore it might have a ripple effect on the egg shell. Please.
People charge for this kind of info. To see u give it for free u are something
