as a huge drake fan since i was about 12-13, now almost 27, i keep thinking about “i like drake with the melodie’s, i don’t like drake when he act tough”- im just so tired of the fake tough songs, talking about how rich he is, how much of a whore he is, all his newer shit sounds so repetitive. the only new songs that get replay from me are his deep cuts, b sides if you will. i want to hear him sing and be vulnerable and if he’s going to rap i want to hear him be VULNERABLE. or at least stick to the style of songs he dropped with conductor on scary hours 3. because at least that was real rapping. everything else is just so mediocre and over saturated and boring.
also he sounded older and more mature in his older projects, when he was reflecting on how fame has its downsides, talking about family issues, talking about the women he’s loved and lost. 10-15 years later and he’s regressed, acts like he’s a young boy that’s just become famous and it makes me sick. the reason kendrick won aside from rapping better and bringing up those allegations, he came from a place of humility and called drake out for his childish and sinful behavior, his lack of growth and how he isn’t a good role model to his child and to the children of society. he should be dropping music like jay’z 444 where he sounds like he’s a man approaching his 40s. but i think he’s deeply insecure about his legacy and thinks he needs to act like a 20 year old to remain relevant. he fails to realize his fans that have been listening for all these years are the ones who he should be appealing to, AKA ADULTS. the regression of his music and mindframe is his downfall and he doesn’t even know it.

If you listened to Views, you basically listened to every modern-day Drake album.
