Dude, all the v1.6 characters are fantastic! I am glad they are finally adding another healer too. I can’t believe we are four versions away in global. So much to look forward to!
This is the third time they have Beast and Mineral 6* combo in the same banner (after 1.1 and 1.3). With 1.3, they provide different roles so Melania and Pickles are okay. If anything, 1.1 and 1.3 characters actually help each other (Pickles is Black Dwarf's best companion and Shamane provides universal debuff and is slightly AP-friendly with Nature's Blessing). Sadly, 1.6 goes the other route here. Instead of helping other characters, this patch will kick some characters out of the meta. A new Mineral Reality DPS with follow-up attacks and mass Ult? The first character that comes to mind is Eternity for some reasons: 1) Quniang doesn't have to sacrifice her HP to do what Eternity does; 2) Eternity's damage is actually quite low compared to other 6* DPS characters; 3) Quniang brings more utility by providing: free attack at the beginning of the turn if she's drunk and mass nuke when she works together with 6 compared to Eternity who only inflicts Nasty Wounds; and finally, 4) Quniang's Ult damage will scale up the less enemies are on the field, which is the opposite of Eternity who favors a crowd, so that she can leech more. Playing her would not be so hard either: I think we should first use her skill 1 and then read the enemies a bit, if the enemy are not going for the debuff card, we can use her skill 2 as the last card to put her into drunken state, then when the new round comes, she will have a free attack on the enemy with the lowest HP. We can keep doing this while working together with 6's buffs to stack the wine pulp until we meet the wine pulp threshold and 5 Moxies, then nuke the battlefield with her Ult. Once the minions are gone, her damage will further increase because there is only one enemy remaining, the boss. By this point, not only will her Ult gets the damage increase, but because there is only one enemy on the field, it means that her follow-up attack will always hit that enemy as well. Once the actual numbers are out, then we will see whether Black Dwarf gets affected or not. However, Ge Tian will likely kick Shamane out of the meta. This comment is already four paragraphs long, so I will not continue my babble, but I think among the Beast DPS characters, Melania and Pavia are the only ones that will not benefit from the Reality damage debuff that Ge Tian provides. Bkornblume may still be around in a four man team because her damage debuff (a stats down) can stack with Ge Tian's Bone Omen (a neg. status), but I think Shamane is likely out. Finally, with the various utilities Yenisei provides, I think our newest shielder Ezra may also be out (and it's not even two weeks since his banner comes!). All in all, this patch is crazy.
Ezra shouldn't be considered as a "shield character". His shield buff grants delayed +40% Crit Damage to whole team and shield is only a small addition to that buff. Just dont consider that thing as "shield" incantation. Consider it as a party buff for Critical damage and shield is just whatever.
@@guitar_tabs Actually his in-game tag literally is "Shield" and "Support", plus he has a unique mechanic of granting team-wide shield based on max HP, which makes his shield stronger even than NewBabel, even though sadly it only lasts one round. I don't think dismissing the toughest shield in the game as whatever is wise. Your point of him being a crit damage support character still stands though 👍 I'm just addressing that he is supposed to be a shielder, maybe supposedly the best there is.
@@陳祁-y4h It's not about game tags. It's about the purpose of using your incantation. For example: what is the purpose of using a shield incantation? Or when should you use it? You'll obviously use it if the enemies are going to deal a lot of damage in their next attack, right? And you'll use your shield to mitigate that damage. But in Ezra's case, the reason for using his "protection card" is completely different. Even enemies aren't going to make any attacks at all, you still want to use Ezra's shield to boost critical damage. That's what I'm trying to say when I say "don't think of him as a shielder" - because the purpose of this incantation is to give a team damage buff, and he is just the pinnacle of that effect. I talk about his playing style.

I agree that because his kit revolves around planting and growing mushrooms, he has to cast the shield to plant the crit damage mushroom regardless of situation. This actually touches another problem that I have with Ezra's kit. On paper it may seem wonderful that you can have both buff and protection in one card, but the way it translates practically just messes up his potential. I am willing to admit that it might be my personal issue with him (that other players may think that he's fine), but yeah, I don't think he's going to stay for long.
@@陳祁-y4h I personally like his toolkit. But one thing confuses me. He can apply Fragile debuff on enemies and they will get +25% more damage from incoming attacks. But as far as I know such debuffs CANT affect Genesis damage type. Right? So Ezra himself CANT get any benefits from HIS OWN debuff. And it sounds kinda stupid for me. (Maybe I dont know the whole thing about Genesis damage.)
One thing that Prydwen missed about Jiu’s S1: it consumes [Wine Pulp] to do a follow-up attack. The more stacks of [Wine Pulp] are consumed, the more damage the follow-up attack does.

just depends on what you prefer - planning or experiencing things early. playing on cn is probably better for whales since they get all the characters anyways. youre right though i feel bad for cn f2ps
They just made patch 1.3 the most cursed patch for global yet. Ill be surprised if anyone even pulls on that patch unless they like black dwarf's or shamane's designs
It's depend on how the devs work for the characters or the stages, just like they did it to ms bebber and pickles if I not mistaken. At first, a lot of cn players not looking good for her because she is squishy when use her to beat limbo stages(since most of enemies are mental damage while ms bebber just increase her reality defense), but after they released update in 1.3 or 1.4, she becomes more getting used. For pickles, if I correct, the devs already buff it in cn server. So, I think either the devs will make a stages that make black dwarf more advantages to use, or buff her if she becomes not strong enough after jiuniang released, we will see about that.
1.6 is great and definitely skipping 1.3 (got pickles so not that in needed a mineral dmg dealer) but I hope the only 1 field won’t force you in the future to always have a teammate to have a field skill just in case to counters enemy’s one

But now i'm thinking on getting centurion skip shamane and wait for getian.... don't know yet i have 7 days to decide before centurion banner leaves.... Honorable beast is the other one that hits like a truck but it needs build up (don't know name 1.5 banner).... but is a long time without beast dps or any good beast to be honest only the healer that they gift at start

Normal Unilogs, clear drops or crystal drops all works. However, her banner is belong to standalone, does not count pity in the normal event banner. As same, (worst luck) 140 pulls guarantee a copy of her. There is also an event shop when doing 200 pulls can spark a copy of her as well.

F2p have to save for 2,5 whole patches just to guarantee her and judging by how bad the gacha mechanic for her seems to be (being forced to do 140 on her kinda), she'll for sure be op and a must pull. So every f2p player has to stop spending crystal drops/unilogs starting from 2nd half of 1.3.

But from what i see from the livestream, the "mineral" lady 曲娘 is a limited character, she has the ability to do single or mass ultimate base on some mechanic. However, from my own point of view, i will kind off wait till she is being pulled and showcase, so i can kinda weight of should i skip Black Dwarf and 1.5 for more pulls.

Exactly not. Her banner is completely on it's own. You start with 0/70 and have to win 50/50, so if you are unlucky u need 140 pulls to get her and after the banner your pity is also gone for future banners like that. 💀
Hi, I began to play this game 4 days ago, and I only have one 6*, Lilya, from the beginner banner I also have three 5*, Sonetto, X and Matilda Is it better to pull for Golden Thread banner, Jessica banner, or I wait?
Bro imma save I have 10k and 15 pulls. After getting Jessica. I think I got my 2 team built. Maybe need a beast dps or an metal. But for now I will use sonetto. I will need a beast one.
I was so torn because I want to pull for Shamane and Black Dwarf, but after considering Jiu Niangzi and Getian's kits, I think I'll prioritize 1.6 first 😭

Kinda sad to see that the devs are destroying the good f2p aspect of the game by going for such banners. The generosity and f2p-friendliness was what got me to play the game in first place, idk ... feels bad. Edit: Judging by how bad the gacha is, she for sure will be super op and a must pull for everyone. So in worst case of having to do 140 pulls for her, all f2p have to start saving everything for months starting from 2nd half of 1.3 to ensure her. And if you alrdy do 140 pulls, you might also do 60 more to guarantee a 2nd copy to make her even stronger, so you might actually have to save for her since 2nd half of 1.2 (aka now). This is worse than I thought.
@@Freur-00 The game is f2p friendly, but not too much. You alrdy can't guarantee every character as f2p and the monthly pack is alrdy recommended to get. Now it gets even worse, this might break the game for f2p players. If they don't get criticism for it rn they will continue with such monetization if it works. :(
Tf do you mean. Its pve game, buddy. You still can clear 90% of the content as f2p. Just skip shit banners and go for these guys if you care so much about strong units. You have literally half of the year and devs give you 30 FREE pulls for the first banner and probably more later. Cringe crybaby

The gacha alrdy is kinda in the middleground, stingy with free pulls but also f2p friendly with higher rates and nice amount of early 6* pulls. But this banner literally shifts everything down. It releases a probably must pull unit as she might be super op, as there would be no incentive for pulling her otherwise, as the gacha is a big currency loss if you don't get her from it. As f2p you have to save 2,5 patches (so roughly 4 months) without pulling on a single banner to guarantee her. That not only means your team won't evolve or get better for future content, you also might get bored and quit as you got nothing new or fun to do. And I wouldn't say it's better than Genshin, Genshin doesn't have those types of banners. You always got your 50/50 with guarantee going to the next banner. If you spend 130 pulls on hers and not get her, say bye to all your currency spent cuz your pity is gone and won't come back.
I liked the game but this jump in greed with the new banner might kill it for me. Making super cracked units a must pull but forcing f2p to save all their ressources for months to guarantee her.
@@andoryus Idc about her at all, I just find it sad that the balanced gacha style is getting overworked not working in favour of f2p. I'm a light spender myself, not a f2p. But hey, glorify it now until it's too late and they start introducing more powercreep, more pity-ignoring banners and cry later on how good the game was at launch compared to later on. Ppl always love defending companies until it's too late. 🤷 Same thing happened with Genshin, HSR and every other gacha game at some point and people later on do the "surprised pikachu" meme.
@@andoryus I know how gachas work, I have been playing them for over a decade by now. A change in gacha system or obvious increase in greed always is a bad sign and is the first step in the demise of a gacha game. First it's things like releasing a unit like 37 that is mid but 2-3 patches later on gets indirectly buffed and you want her forcing you to go for reruns, then the worse gacha banner and soon we'll get powercreep so you are forced to go for new chars always. Ik rn we don't have that much powercreep only some chars falling behind like Eternity if you want to clear content in the XYZ amount of waves maximum to get all rewards. But it's a gacha, we'll reach the point it's inevitable. But go on, support and defend the company until most f2p quit and the game remains solely played by whales until we get a EOS later on. 👍 And also the "idc about her" was because you made it seem like I'm pissed about her being harder to obtain and I want her for sure. It's not about wanting that char, it's about the gacha system and how it will impact the game.

A lot of gachas died cuz of increasing greed. And it's understandable, most gachas are meant to garner ppl for a short time, make them whale and milk whales until the game dies. That's the normal cycle of gachas nowadays, most are just meant as cash grab. Sadly I liked R1999 but this might break the game considering how big the powercreep of this "true" limited character might be. And if noone speaks against that, we will see more of those units ignoring pity than normal ones. I mean I might be wrong and everything turns out fine, she doesn't powercreep hard and we can just play as usual ... but from my experience that's pretty unlikely. I have played gachas for a decade or more now, this new banner is fishy. ^^'
So far they copied arknights in lot of aspects so they probably will copy limited banner tickets, and with less than 200 tikets u probably will be able to buy new 5* character

Normal Unilogs, clear drops or crystal drops all works. However, her banner is belong to standalone, does not count pity in the normal event banner.
As same, (worst luck) 140 pulls guarantee a copy of her.
There is also an event shop when doing 200 pulls can spark a copy of her as well.

F2p have to save for 2,5 whole patches just to guarantee her and judging by how bad the gacha mechanic for her seems to be (being forced to do 140 on her kinda), she'll for sure be op and a must pull. So every f2p player has to stop spending crystal drops/unilogs starting from 2nd half of 1.3.
@@herminegranger8455 I think as of now, it depends.... As 1.6 is not yet released. But from what i see from the livestream, the "mineral" lady 曲娘 is a limited character, she has the ability to do single or mass ultimate base on some mechanic.
However, from my own point of view, i will kind off wait till she is being pulled and showcase, so i can kinda weight of should i skip Black Dwarf and 1.5 for more pulls.

Exactly not. Her banner is completely on it's own. You start with 0/70 and have to win 50/50, so if you are unlucky u need 140 pulls to get her and after the banner your pity is also gone for future banners like that. 💀

getian is normal banner. True limited means she might only rerun once a year during CN new year, or not even rerun at all. we dont know that yet

Kinda sad to see that the devs are destroying the good f2p aspect of the game by going for such banners. The generosity and f2p-friendliness was what got me to play the game in first place, idk ... feels bad.
Edit: Judging by how bad the gacha is, she for sure will be super op and a must pull for everyone. So in worst case of having to do 140 pulls for her, all f2p have to start saving everything for months starting from 2nd half of 1.3 to ensure her. And if you alrdy do 140 pulls, you might also do 60 more to guarantee a 2nd copy to make her even stronger, so you might actually have to save for her since 2nd half of 1.2 (aka now). This is worse than I thought.
It seems they put alot of effort into this particular update, so it makes sense that they'd try to capitalise off of it as much as they can
@@Freur-00 The game is f2p friendly, but not too much. You alrdy can't guarantee every character as f2p and the monthly pack is alrdy recommended to get. Now it gets even worse, this might break the game for f2p players. If they don't get criticism for it rn they will continue with such monetization if it works. :(

The gacha alrdy is kinda in the middleground, stingy with free pulls but also f2p friendly with higher rates and nice amount of early 6* pulls. But this banner literally shifts everything down. It releases a probably must pull unit as she might be super op, as there would be no incentive for pulling her otherwise, as the gacha is a big currency loss if you don't get her from it. As f2p you have to save 2,5 patches (so roughly 4 months) without pulling on a single banner to guarantee her. That not only means your team won't evolve or get better for future content, you also might get bored and quit as you got nothing new or fun to do. And I wouldn't say it's better than Genshin, Genshin doesn't have those types of banners. You always got your 50/50 with guarantee going to the next banner. If you spend 130 pulls on hers and not get her, say bye to all your currency spent cuz your pity is gone and won't come back.
I'm excited about these units' man, but tbh, I can't see myself playing the game til 1.6.
I liked the game but this jump in greed with the new banner might kill it for me. Making super cracked units a must pull but forcing f2p to save all their ressources for months to guarantee her.
@@andoryus Idc about her at all, I just find it sad that the balanced gacha style is getting overworked not working in favour of f2p. I'm a light spender myself, not a f2p. But hey, glorify it now until it's too late and they start introducing more powercreep, more pity-ignoring banners and cry later on how good the game was at launch compared to later on. Ppl always love defending companies until it's too late. 🤷 Same thing happened with Genshin, HSR and every other gacha game at some point and people later on do the "surprised pikachu" meme.
@@andoryus I know how gachas work, I have been playing them for over a decade by now. A change in gacha system or obvious increase in greed always is a bad sign and is the first step in the demise of a gacha game. First it's things like releasing a unit like 37 that is mid but 2-3 patches later on gets indirectly buffed and you want her forcing you to go for reruns, then the worse gacha banner and soon we'll get powercreep so you are forced to go for new chars always. Ik rn we don't have that much powercreep only some chars falling behind like Eternity if you want to clear content in the XYZ amount of waves maximum to get all rewards. But it's a gacha, we'll reach the point it's inevitable. But go on, support and defend the company until most f2p quit and the game remains solely played by whales until we get a EOS later on. 👍 And also the "idc about her" was because you made it seem like I'm pissed about her being harder to obtain and I want her for sure. It's not about wanting that char, it's about the gacha system and how it will impact the game.

And if noone speaks against that, we will see more of those units ignoring pity than normal ones. I mean I might be wrong and everything turns out fine, she doesn't powercreep hard and we can just play as usual ... but from my experience that's pretty unlikely. I have played gachas for a decade or more now, this new banner is fishy. ^^'
So far they copied arknights in lot of aspects so they probably will copy limited banner tickets, and with less than 200 tikets u probably will be able to buy new 5* character

For example, the game have 6-star characters like arknight if it's not obvious, the insight mechanics sure remind me alchemy star, and you need grind more resources for characters and banners just like genshin(but don't get me wrong, the grind is kinda better than genshin).

While in genshin u have to farm dedicated bosses for special material + collect materials in open world + and very cheap in terms of mora
