I understand everyone is different but the glucose test is not as bad as everyone makes it seem. The drink tastes similar to a flat soda. Yes, you have to fast. I failed my first test and had to do the 3 hour test. I went to the office at 8:15 and didn’t leave until 1:30. I felt dizzy from not eating but to my new moms out there. Don’t worry you will be fine it’s not as bad as some make it seem. 😊 ( currently 28 weeks with my first baby )

I gained 60lbs with both my baby's..which whom were born a month early at 7+lbs...Lost the weight rt after so i wasn't too concerned...My priority was my baby's and their health first and foremost...They are now teens and way taller and bigger than I...Mommas knows best and Ana is enjoying every bit so let her...Enjoy the pregnancy moment because it flies too quick and so do the baby's...🙏😉

The glucose test always is 2hrs for me and I get the results right there and then the same day. But that drink is no joke one thing I don’t like about being pregnant lol.

I just had my glucose test and it wasn’t bad. People Over exaggerate about it. Drink was yummy. You drink it in 5 minutes not under 5. I drank it in 2💀
I didn’t wanna say people over exaggerate because everyone is different but like people do bc acting like it’s the worst thing about pregnancy like I kinda wanted more mine was good🤣 my doctor told me to slow down drinking it she was like you know you have 5 min right😂
@@mckenziearave4260 literally. I think the worst part of pregnancy is morning sickness and not being able to keep things down. My glucose drink was so good I could drink it as if it’s a regular drink. I get everyone’s different but literally gagging from the drink is soooo over dramatic 😂 she’s acting like it’s a shot or something

I am a juvenile diabetic, so I never had to do the glucose drink for any of my 4 pregnancies. I was only allowed to gain 25 lbs. with each pregnancy. My last pregnancy was twins, and I was only allowed to gain 45 lbs. for that pregnancy. I met and kept my weight requirements for all 4! It's not about not eating sweets( diabetics eat sweets too). It's about counting carbs and portion control. Dairy counts as a carb, vegetables and fruits have carbs( some count as straight up starches), fruits counts as carbs, any and all grains, pastas, breads, crackers, chips, etc. all count as carbs. Meat has carbs, but very low amounts, so they really don't effect your blood sugar. Eat complex carbohydrates whenever you can, only eat correct portions sizes, consume healthy fats only, and allow yourself a treat when you want it. Simply adjust your carb intake throughout the day to plan for it. 😊
I had gestational diabetes with our 4th ,everything g set my sugars too high.i had medication from 9 weeks and it didn't keep the levels down.in the end I was injecting 62 units of insulin a day ,I only gained 9lbs in pregnancy and had to have our son a month early hewas fine and weighed 6lbs 3 oz

It’s wild to me how different this test is done everywhere. I thought you had to fast 8-12 hrs too but the dr told me I shouldn’t have and that’s probably why I failed the 1 hr test with my first baby. I then took the 3 hr and passed. With my second, I was told to not eat or drink anything aside from water two hrs before my test and I passed.
When you were drinking the Glucose I was saying “YOU GOT THIS ANA YOU GOT THIS GURLY YOUGOT THIS ANA!”😂😂
