I love that the grandma And the dad finally realized what they were both doing wrong Like the dad Kept her from doing things she wanted to do But I kind of understand and the grandma Just put way too much pressure
That's because Ella's not pressured to be smart and she can still have fun like a kid. Patty wasn't able to enjoy herself and she was forced to use her smartness
It's nice for a child to have gifts, but you must never exploit them for your own selfishness or push them into growing up too fast. I'm glad the grandmother learnt that lesson.
He is struggling he doesn’t want her to grow up to fast even though that might not be the best thing but he just wants the best for her it’s not selfish
I mean, I don’t see why both can’t be possible. Can be gifted and do those things while still being a child. Shouldn’t be pushed 24/7. Let it come at her pace.
Agreed Whole heartedly ! The difference between the two is just that the grandmother forced her daughter, where as the chid's dad went in the extreme opposite direction, neither realizing that there was an obvious middle ground that would have worked for either. Thankfully they both learned from their mistakes.

It seems like Ella actually enjoyed having her gifts and loved the idea of being ahead. While her mother hated being pressured and overworked and wasn’t being able to be a kid. Yes it’s nice of the dad for Ella to be a kid, but he’s trying to pressure her into being one. She’s still one, but she does have her own mind and decisions, so he could’ve asked her how she felt about everything and support her.
I think there's a difference the mom wasn't ever proud of her daughter while the dad always is. If Ella lived with someone who doesn't support her like her dad did she would of ended up like her mom
The dad is stopping her cause he doesn't want her to skip a grade or get in a gifted program. But she likes being in higher grades and stuff cause that way she is challenged in 4th grade she isn't. So the dad is kinda stopping her te let her gift work

High IQ doesn't necessarily mean being good at math or doing well in school, it just means processing things at a higher speed than others
Exactly if proccess things faster you can learn faster and better
16:48 “so you see”
High IQ means nothing if you`re not honest and humble
