The big problem with any crime is that there is a victim or victims and in most cases are often left with a life time of trauma.
I doubt being a compassionate Judge and Law enforcement official would cease a child rapists and murderers etc.

This is a good father. He made mistakes but is doing everything in his power to use the ressources around him (family and coparenting), working, getting his license and being a present father

Judge Caprio is a very down to earth and good, fair judge. He has compassion, common sense in helping others with gentle guidance. He sees people as real human beings in difficult situations which is very unique and kind!

Seems like the Guy is struggling with life when saying he's 'trying his best' to stay out of trouble, maybe he needs help with one of the agencies there to help ex offenders and ultimately reduce his risk of re-offending. I was a Chef specialising in Rustic Italian Cuisine for many years and know that the stress, long hours and often poor pay can contribute to losing focus on what's important when it comes to family but I think this guy will be OK if he sticks to a plan of not taking on extra hours, extra shifts etc .. take it from me, it's not worth the extra hassle ..
You have to work to live, NOT live to work.

Think about it for a moment people - the cost of that - 800 bucks + 60 more to take a class to get a driver's licence + all the other payments - is that fair? No. Is it right? No. Why so much? Geez!

I think The Judge went real light on him because of his son. He already saw his Daddy in prison. He didn't want to the little boy seeing him have to pay out what could have been a lot of money. That would have e taken away from the the little boy. He also did it for the guy.He working and being a dad .

This guy didn't drive with a license, but he didn't have an accident which hurt anyone. And he clearly wasn't driving without a license because of not wanting to obey the law. Sometimes you have to drive even without a license while you're trying get one. Judge Caprio understands this and that shows he is compassionate. I was surprised when he used to the fund to pay the fine, but totally agree with him doing so.
