    So much for that idea.
If Black people would have kept the momentum from the civil rights era we would be in a much better position today!!

INCORRECT. THE CIVIL RIGHTS ERA IS WHAT CAUSED BLACK PEOPLE TO STOP PROGRESSING.

I remember that drunk driving commercial as a little girl. Never drove drunk. I also don’t drink. That commercial really made an impact.

Forty years later, the U.S. black community has gotten worse and it has *nothing* to do with the middle-class moving to the suburbs, attending PWIs, etc.

They exist because we won't get it ourselves. Just complain. @@JamesCH08

This was a good conversation. I can what adults were thinking back then. It’s crazy , because middle class back then is a different class

This breaks my heart. We have completely forgotten how to fight, persevere, and push through adversity. Slaves were more resilient than us ansd we have it made compared to them! How dare that woman ask about Michael Jackson's money smh. Go get it yourself! It's sad that people in 2024 would still agree with these talking points 😢

They dont owe Gary anything. They are one family and had to move away (over 50 years ago) to become who they are in which case Gary becomes history to them.
Now the ppl who have come up and still live in the area or close by, they could be of more help and more involved in the community since its near them. Once you move to another city and state its a wrap.

I wasn’t expecting to see The Queen of Rock n’ Roll Tina Turner. I’m writing a book on her now - if you happen to find any footage of her during this period, it would be much appreciated
