Your video is the only one which has helped me look for what I need to do to recover my keyboard connections of some keys. I still don"t know how to see the connectivity around each switch, but I will figure it out with that video of yours, hopefully.
Thanks a lot for explaining in detail. Some of my keys where not working although the LED was still lightning and I could figure out how to fix the ones that were ripped off!!! Fug cheap materials and obsolescense in "premium brands"!!
Awesome, glad it helped. Hope you're able to fix them all. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos and possibly consider watching a few others to get the algorithm to recommend my channel. Thanks!
Thanks! This was very educational. I just built a keyboard (first time) and am having issues with a few of the keys. I hope it's just the switches and I haven't wrecked the board. xD
Excellent video, thank you very much! Repaired a key's solder point on a new board (that was defective on arrival) last night, partially thanks to this video.

Weirdest thing happened with my anibis switches. The pin didn't bend, it didn't break, it went straight down back into the inner body of the switch. It doesn't register during keytest. Just 3 out of 72 were defective, guess that isn't too bad. I can pull the pin back out, but pushing it back into the hotswap socket does the same thing. All the other switches work fine. I'll be emailing cannonkeys.
@@ItsBinhRepaired the seller dont wanna responsible despite i purchase this board just less than 1 week and keep saying its my fault. But its okay i already do the tape mod so the minus is i cant change other switch even same type
bro i got a problem can u help me so i changed the switch but the win key is still not responsive pls help i did changed the switch 2 times pls help me whats wrong with my keyboard let me know if i can fix it.
Hello, very nice video. I have similar issue but sadly I cant find a solution to it. I opened the keyboard and checked the switch that doesnt work (only N key doesnt work), tested it with multimeter and there was no continuity, so it made me think that the switch is broken. I switched it with new one. It shows continuity now but when I connect the keyboard, it still does not work. Nothing else seems broken on PCB. If anyone has any idea I would be grateful.
@@ItsBinhRepaired thank you, what should I do next then? I tried to connect pins from N and M, which makes whole row to connect and press, that way N key get pressed aswell. I know it probably does not help with finding the issue. Unfortunately I am pretty noob at this. Just trying to learn.
This is very detailed. Ultimately, wasn't my case, but I couldn't stop watching. The quality and explanation are very nice.
Awww :( too bad yours couldn't be fixed.

Strange. Could be a micro tear in the trace.
Same happen to me but weird thing is the socket only work with one switch, if i replace it to any other swith it wont work
Maybe it bent in a weird way.
@@ItsBinhRepaired yes i think so but i trying to see all the pin is in the same straight line but i still dont know what happen

thanks man
my 3 d e c keys have stopped working I cleaned it opened I changes switches still they don't work? help pls
You need to check the connection for the whole column. Sounds like you damaged the trace somewhere.
My keyboard is powering on after 2secs it will turn off. What to do?

You'll need to look at it closely. Likely broken solder joint

The trace is likely torn.
