@@ChelseyLinden Cause there is a very small market for soaps outside of their areas. But very lucrative for product placement deals to have a world wide audience, glued to a show, rather than having just occasional viewers from day to day, or a smaller audience within a particular country.
As an example Domino`s is, or at least used to be, the main sponsor for Hollyoaks. So last year, when they bought out another pizza chain called Dolly Dimples in Norway, I, because I knew Domino`s from some of the Hollyoaks episodes, decided to try it out, simply because I was curious about the pizzas because I knew them from Hollyoaks. When the chain they took over, Dolly Dimples, came to Norway, I never bothered with their pizzas, stuck the Norwegian chain Peppe`s, despite those being more expensive. So when being associated with Hollyoaks was enough to make someone as stubborn and independent thinking as me, give Domino`s a go, trust me, then product placement would do wonders for just about any product or brand.
With the growth of both Netflix and other streaming giants, RUclips could be the best chance for smaller commercial producers of tv drama to escape being just a provider of material for the streaming giants in the future - and maybe the only chance for soaps to survive?

I am fascinated at how James tries so hard not to care but obviously all he wants is love. Great performance by Gregory as James.
@@susanjewitt8783 Since Harry was so worried about telling James about Sadie and the baby, that does not signal a very loving relationship, I fear. To me Harry`s situation seems to be very similar to Sinead`s, before she discovered who Laurie truly was. Since James not only is being very controlling, but also constantly puts Harry down, and treats him like a kid.

@@josephrolando5616 No, but he has done other things which has proved he can get pretty wild and driven by uncontrollable rage (like when pushing JP`s car off a clip, letting JP believe Ste was in the boot of it) if he feels himself wronged or to not be in control. Just like with Laurie, the warning signs are James` need to be in control, his joy of manipulating people to feel to have power over them, and his narcissistic satisfaction when he succeeds with his scheme`s and cruel manipulations. Therefore, should he feel Harry to have wronged him, or slip out of his control, there is a real danger he could come to do something very seriously to Harry, just to feel to be in control again. For James it would probably be more difficult to physically rape Harry, than it was for muscle man Laurie to rape Sinead. But it is the same type of motivation, lack of empathy and need for control behind James soliciting Harry for sexual favors - only to blackmail him for it afterwards, as it was for Laurie when he sabotaged Sienna`s tent, to manipulate her into staying in his.
So that James and Laurie are pretty similar narcissistic psychopaths with sadistic tendencies, I have no doubt about - based on some of the acts they have been depicted to do. But that doesn`t mean their MOs would be identical. Because Harry is stronger physically, James probably would have had to drug him, or tie him up, to be able to rape him?
For Laurie his physical strength is what he feels always will make him superior to Sinead. With James, he more imagine it is his mind that makes him superior to Harry. Therefore he would be more likely of playing cruel and sadistic mind games on Harry, more than rape him. Laurie raped Sinead only after she had seen through his mind games, and he felt to lose control over her.

Not so sure about that. If so, neither Harry, nor James, would have found the Sadie and the baby situation threatening. Harry would not have hesitated asking James for advice, and James would not have felt worried, cause he knew both how Harry and himself felt about each other. The fact both of them react so extremely as they do, suggest something to be seriously wrong in their relationship. I fear, knowing how controlling and possessive James can be about his men (especially when he took JP for a ride in a Triumph, and scared the living daylights out of JP, when pushing the car over a cliff, claiming Ste to be in the boot of it), Harry now is in a similar situation to the one Sinead was in prior to discover how Laurie truly was.

@@tanyarees2787 what's been confirmed? Cause so far no break up has been announced or discussed anywhere. Not saying a temporary break up couldn't be on the horizon but so far nothing official says it's happening.
@@tanyarees2787 The only reason we as viewers know Sinead and Sienna are right in their accusations against Laurie, is that we have been shown it to be true. For anyone who hasn`t, Laurie - the way he behaves and appears - seems almost like the perfect attentive teacher, husband, colleague and stepfather to little Hannah. But we who have seen how controlling and manipulative he can be, know how he pressured and threatened Sienna - and even that he raped his own wife - we know better. But only because we have seen it with our own eyes.
In real life we would not be likely to. Our image of Laurie would have been the teacher who managed to talk problem child Julie down, having locked herself in the school. The considerate colleague who persuaded Sally to give crazy Sienna a chance to became a teacher again, and was kind enough to give of his time to help her do so. The caring and attentive stepdad to Hannah, who Hannah adored - and therefore we couldn`t have imagined would have hurt a fly.
That is how psychopaths are. They have one side they show the world - and another, extremely manipulative, controlling and judgmental they reserve for their victims. In Laurie`s case he quickly lost interest in Donna Marie - she caved in to soon, and therefore he felt less powerful and in control of her, than of Sienna, who both was scared of him, and begged him to stop. Someone like Laurie would have loved that, cause that would really make him feel powerful, and sienna begging him to stop, would be for Laurie to see the car turn when he turned the steering wheel - it confirmed to him that he was in control.
Sinead was not aware she was a victim of his at first. She couldn`t believe her luck, someone as wonderful as Laurie had fallen for her. But off course Laurie hadn`t really fallen for her in the way Sinead thought, he just wanted a ready made family to give him a respectable facade, while he entertained himself toying with, terrorizing and controlling women left right and center. It was only when Sinead didn`t, as Laurie saw it, stayed in her place that Sinead herself became aware of what sort of man she had married - and also realized that what he had told her to be irrational jealousy, wasn`t that at all, but that he had been seeing other women. It was only less voluntary from the women`s side, than what Sinead had thought when she accused them.
To me Harry appear to be in the same stage as Sinead was when she thought Laurie was the most wonderful man in the world, and couldn`t believe her luck he had chosen her. I base that not on the scenes we have seen of Harry and James together, but on those we haven`t seen, but which could explain both why Harry was so terrified of James finding out about Sadie and the baby and - not the least - which would explain why James could be in love with Harry in one minute, telling him to pack his bags in the next, just for having a baby on the way.
The latter, particularly, suggest to me James is so controlling and possessive he doesn`t want to share Harry with anyone - and particularly not Harry`s own child. So I ask you, do you find that a normal reaction - or a slightly disturbing and worrying one?
With me that makes alarm lights flashing so intensely I do not believe James to love Harry, even question if James has that ability at all. Had he, he would not have kicked Harry out for something which happened when he and Harry were apart, and which he himself have inflicted something very similar on Harry, when Romeo arrived. James strong reaction, to put it mildly, to both the baby, and the fact he was ready to give Harry an ultimatum over Harry`s own child to be, does not suggest James to love Harry, but to regard him as his possession. Had it not been for him risking his own son`s respect and love, he wouldn`t even have backed down - but insisted on Harry breaking all ties to his child.
Sorry, but that is not love - that is control, and of a very excessive and manipulative kind. Harry would be wise to leave James, and never go back. Cause James doesn`t love Harry, judging by his actions and attitude, he owns him and controls him. Just like Laurie owned and controlled Sinead.
And what happened when Laurie felt he was losing that control over Sinead..?
I`ll tell you, Harry better run while he still can.
At least if the storyline had reflected real life. But Hollyoaks is fictional and anything can be made to happen - even, apparently, for someone to fall in love with the man who first exploited him for his desperation for money, by offering him a ridiculous amount of money for sex - only to blackmail him with it to get him to betray his own father, and lose his father his restaurant, afterwards.
I am not so concerned about what happens in a fictional storyline. But I am terrified if those storylines will cause viewers to fall for the likes of Laurie in real life - believing he (or she) will be how James is thought to be by so many viewers, despite there is very little evidence of him being that in his previous actions. Psychopaths can potentially be very dangerous, extremely unpredictable and very tough to identify. In short: they are an absolute nightmare anyone would be well advised to avoid.
As I said, I don`t care about the characters, I just want people to realize that controlling behavior and manipulations are warning signs that should be taken seriously if encountered in real life.

This was the final lineup before the show went downhill for good. Its gone beyond redemption now because the writers blew it when they still had these characters ffs. 😒 These characters could have been developed so much better but the writers just seem to lack the imagination or basic ability to write storylines like they did up until about 2015.

She is, and I think the actress who plays her have great presence too. But if she stays, I hope it will not be with Harry. I cannot get used to the idea of Kyle having converted from gay to straight. I find it more natural Harry and Kyle would become a couple, than both Nancy and Kyle as well as Harry and Sadie. Neither Kyle nor Harry have ever described themselves as bi, they have said gay - so their sudden transformations have less credibility than the average tweet from Donald Trump, as I see it.
I think it's just me but I kinda like Liam. He's cool in a creepy kinda way. It's probs just me tho cause I can tell that u guys don't feel the same way? And Jude portrays him well imo. But I'm new to Hollyoaks so.....

Starry was a total disaster which ruined more of both Harry and Ste`s life, than it improved them. Because of how both Harry, when he chased Ste when Ste was with SInead, and Kyle, when he chased Ryan, were so focused on finding the man they believed to be the right one for them, because Kyle is similar in age to James, and has the same confidence Ste had when he was a restaurant owner and chef, and Harry fell for him - and because Kyle is even funnier and more charming when being sarcastic than James is, I think Harry would be a lot more happy and evenly placed with Kyle - and Kyle with Harry - than both with James and Ste. James is a control freak who believes himself to be superior to Harry, and treats Harry like a kid, or a toyboy. Ste is so focused around himself and his kids, he only occasionally remembered he was with Harry. While Harry did all the heavy lifting in the relationship, made all the sacrifices and did all the work to keep it working.
Sorry for crushing illusions, but based on both personality and past Harry would be better off with Kyle - and vice versa - than with James or Ste.

I hope Sadie will come back and tell the police everything and if Grace shoots Harry (Styles) 😉 I hope either her Brothers Jesse, or Liam (Payne), 😉 or Mercedes will talk her out of it! I also hope that Diane, Sinead, Ste or Tony will find out that Harry (Styles) 😉 a Father and if they do then hopefully they'll help him and Sadie out. However if Sadie dies after giving Birth then I hope Harry (Styles) 😉 will keep it and either Ste or Tony help him raise it with his "Real" Family! 😟 Plus I miss #Starry! 😢☹️😭🤧💔

Why make him a dad, if he is just going to die? So I don't think he will. Maybe someone will talk Grace out of it/tell her the truth, and hopefully it is Mercedes. Or maybe he will get injured but not too bad. Or maybe James will save him.
