Wanting you to get excited for something you wouldn't want as a teenager let alone a grown experienced adult. Give me daring, give me passion, push my limits every time.

Just learn the various groups that then combine. 3. Add enhancer the fit with the blended groups Mind blown😊
Thought the name was perfect for the fragrance. Vanilla Sex leaves you wanting more. It’s still sex. And of course I’ll take it, but I want something more. Something fun. Perfect analogy for the fragrance in my opinion.

Ever since Tom Ford has been acquired, they've relaunched their fragrances at a higher price. Aaron, can you do a comparison between the older Vanille Fatale and the new release?
A long time ago I use to make extracts for a large food company . Back then real vanilla extract went for $20,000.00 CDN for a 20 gallon drum . And yes it was very dark and thick . The artificial Vanilla extract had more water as well as coumarin and vanillin in it and less alcohol .

One of my favorite things about Aaron's videos is when he describes what he'd imagined the scents would be, or how he feels they could be improved. Having the opportunity to get inside his head and "smell" them that way is so much fun. I can't wait until ATH fragrances are easier to get hold of, because his perfumery is exciting...and "Vanilla Sex" most definitely is not.

I love it. Pricey indeed, so ill likely get the decanter next. But I like to mix this with Tabacco Vanile. The dry down is soooo good. But the two together blend very well.
I'm wearning this now (from a sample 2ml bottle). It's lovely, but very, very expensive. The bottle quality doesn't match the brand rep or quality of the smell at all. Why brand as luxury when the bottle (beside looks) is anything but?

I think most of the people don’t know what vanilla sex is. Vanilla sex is often just described as anything which is not kink or rough sex. So that means it’s any sex that does not involve things like: slapping, gripping, spitting, strangulation, hair pulling, biting, gagging, or domination/submission, consensual exchange of power, role playing, discipline, restraint, humiliation, or pain of any kind. Now that you know that, You understand that the name fits quiet well that consensual overpriced scent. I know that raw materials can be very pricey. But in this case imo it just doesn’t worth the money to just have an non very inspired scent. Missing old Tom Ford days.
I love Vanilla Sex. I got it as a gift and it lasted on me until the next day. They should have called it Vanilla Dream. I wear it to work and get tons of compliments. The perfumer is from Givaudan from what I heard. The name doesn’t bother me so much 😂🤷🏼♀️
What I would love most is if Tom Ford were to ask Aaron to create a unique classic Tom Ford signature fragrance with an ATH touch. I would blind buy litres of that.
At this point i wouldn't be shocked to hear that the next Tom Ford release is something like Tonka Honkers. 😭 On the name Vanilla Sex though, i do have to disagree with you. Fragrance is about evoking emotion in general, not just passion and intensity. That may be what you personally prefer from your fragrance, but if someone is looking for a fragrance that's pleasant and comforting, a little sexy without pushing boundaries too much, then i think it's a fine name. I'd wonder why you're looking for a fragrance like that at that price point, but i think people are entitled to want to their fragrance to make them feel however they want. It may not be for you, but that doesn't make it a bad name, in my opinion.
Vanilla Sex should be Nutty Sex. All you get is bitter almond. Such a disappointment. Lauder continues to ruin the brand. His best vanillas are Vanilla Fatale(the original) and Metallique
I spritzed my wrist with this today and was initially a bit put off by the top note. But 2 hours later the aroma developed into a nice vanilla chocolatey fragrance - literally felt like i had white chocolate rubbed on my skin. Couldn't stop sniffing my wrist for a good amount of time during the day (in private obviously LOL).
Not concerned with the "vulgar" aspect. I do however, find these types of names juvenile that just lack imagination and deeper thought. It takes away from the actual brilliance of the art of fragrance.

Putting "sex" and "fucking" in their fragrance names is really bad. I cannot believe this is where the Tom Ford line has gone. No risk if classing up the joint here.
I really did not like Vanilla Sex very much, I felt it leaned animalic and nutty, heavy, reminds me of urine, and it turns my stomach a little. I agree it does remind me of something of Dior's. My mom however, she liked it a lot. "The most natural and deep vanilla I've ever smelled" she said. My dad thinks it's "meh". As a work of art, this fragrance was a beautiful experience, but I can't wear it, personally :P
I think the name fits very well with the scent. I think some people find it boring while others may admit that the simplicity of the vanilla and almond satisfy despite its bad reputation.
