- JAPAN vs POLAND | Highlights | Men's VNL 2023. The Japan men's national volleyball team (Japanese: 男子バレーボール日本代表) represents Japan in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Japan Volleyball Association.

Their nickname is "RYUJIN NIPPON (龍神 NIPPON)", meaning "Japanese Dragon God" or "Dragon God of Japan" in Japanese.[1]
Japan won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games, followed by silver at Mexico 1968 and a gold at Munich 1972. The years after this have been less successful. Japan missed three successive Olympic Games before returning at Beijing 2008, where they failed to win a match. Japan then failed to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games and also missed Rio 2016 after finishing seventh at the World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Tokyo.
The Poland national men's volleyball team is controlled by the Polish Volleyball Federation, which represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. Poland is one of the world's strongest teams, they are ranked first in the FIVB world ranking as of 11 September 2022.

My favorite player Ran takashi❤
It really seems like Miyaura is playing a lot better than Nishida in this years VNL, obviously Nishida is still amazing but everytime Japan puts Miyaura into the starting line up, he performs really well.
Because Miyaura played in the Polish league ;)
Nishida has been in slump for months. He had some health issues at the end of 2022 and has been underperforming since that. Good thing miyaura can fill in and do well thanks to polish league but I hope Nishida gets his footing back it must’ve been very hard for him

Nishida and ISHIKAWA is a we'll marked player but ISHIKAWA manage to be a consistent top scorer,,ran was doing well and it's a big help for the team while nishida is off,but saying a game changer i don't think so.
It’s tactical strategy not to exhaust your starting 6 and reserve their energy for important games in Poland since their spot in the quarter finals are assured already. I’d say they considered it a practice game for the next 6 players. I wish the best of luck next week and let us continue cheering on for Team Japan. Hopefully we have our own team from Philippines soon!

I don’t think that’s an excuses at all, Japan’s Men team has stated that their goal is top 4, not winning the trophy, because they know their limits. The coach knows it, the team knows it, so they decide to go for it. Or rather you want to talk about the famous players like Nishida and Ishikawa, I can tell you this, both Nishida and Ishikawa have played in Italy, they have experiences with better player and familiar with tactics, so they play in this line up is fine, or else the game would end faster and put them in bad images. That’s all I have to say bruv.
I don’t know if you have a bad looks on the team or their fans with some no-brainers said that Japans team is the best in the world, which is not when other country have a bunch of beasts that bested their tactic and skills with other factors. All the team in the world join in VNL with sport spirit, wether they lose or win they always put a smile on their face with each other. That’s what is matter bruv, at least you can have some sport game to watch and enjoy your rest after your hard day at work and school, so why are you bothered anyway?
Well even if they will use all of their Team A players they won't win against Poland..And also Slovenia will give them a hard game .

Wilfredo Leon is Cuban -> naturalized Polish since he married a polish woman. He's arguably the best player in the world and has been for the last 10 years, started representing Poland since 2019 if I'm not mistaken.

This trend I see in some European countries like France, England, Sweden, now poland. Pulling talent from other countries through offering citizenship . Sprinter Mo Farah , now British Citizen, is one example.
