I’m an art teacher and this was a terrific clear instruction. It’s very hard to teach a class of multiple children to braid but this was great for a small group.
This is by far the clearest sweet video to do this weave. At present I'm working with paper straws for bowls and baskets. Thank you for taking the time to present this weave.
Good, concise instructions. It has been years since I did serious macrame and I am working on a medium sized wall hanging. I want a knotwork piece to hang it from rather than a strand of rope. I think the single strand braid might be perfect but hadn't seen how to tie it. Thank you so much.
I'm trying to learn macramé and I can't thank you enough for having such easy-to-follow tutorials. thank you so much; I think you're fantastic. I am following you on Pinterest as well.
My love, would you consider a tutorial on ending knots, finishing knots? Like, any stopper or finishing knots that are very tidy and/or integrated within the design, etc? In any, and every, case...Thank you for your amazing, clear, concise and beautifully demonstrated videos xxxooo 💗🙏🕯️always, all ways grateful for your teachings.
Thank you for sharing this! I have been struggling with 4 strand brand and after hearing you say it while showing it made it instantly click! Thank you for all the inspiration!
Not having a girlfriend brought me here🤦🏾♂️ I braid my own hair and was looking for new patterns to get more unique curls and crinkles and this was very useful. Grazi!
I found this video just looking for different braiding techniques, and you explain it so simply and make it easy to understand. And thanks to this, now I'm looking into trying macrame for the first time!

Thankyou Gray Wonders for the brilliant manner in which you created this video instruction - perfect camera work and lighting; and really professional commentary : simple yet fully informative !!! 🙏🏼🌷
Hola encontré tu video, muy claro y sencillo como lo enseñas. Gracias soy nueva en esto del macramé y entendí todo. Nueva suscriptora. Saludos desde Colombia 🇨🇴
I am just getting into macrame and I came across your videos that I am definitely learning from. But how in the world did you tie the first head knot on that rod with a single strand? I am referring to the very first single strand knot you showed in this video. How did you tie that head knot on the rod? I cannot figure it out. Can you please show us? Please. Thanks
Hey, I don’t know if the answer will be relevant for you after such a long time but I believe she used a regular lark’s headknot at the top and just pulled the other string out of the way. So it’s still there we just can’t see it…
@@annabaginova01 Thank you so much for your reply, it certainly helped. 😊 I was wondering how can a knot be made like that the way it was shown in the video.
It varies from knot to knot and project to project. Sometimes you only need one longer string, other times two, three, etc.. I know it is time consuming, but over time you will get the hang of it. You can never have too long 😊.
The 6 strand braid is so hard for me to track, I'll get 10 or so revolutions in and it looks so terrible because i crossed wrong or went out of turn... Someday I'll get my keychain done
For the first pattern, my question is: how do you tie a rope onto a pole with only one end? There suppose to be 2 ends. Where is the other end? Did you hide it(joking)? If there is actually 1 end, How do you make it?
Woah, I really benefited thank you, I love this kind of videos But I am wondering, as a start of a small project, how much will it cost me, what materials will I need, and what is the simplest thing to start with: mirrors or small macrames or what?
I’m so happy this video was helpful for you! I always recommend starting with either a small wall hanging or a plant hanger as these projects won’t be too overwhelming and can be made with just the basic knots. As far as cost goes, it really just depends on where you buy your materials from. Cotton rope is by far the favorite and most used. There are many online shops that sell the rope. 😊
I need the snake braid. The others are lovely and I'm sure I'll use them too.

FINALLY!! A tutorial I understand on making a 4-strand braid!! THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤
That last braid , does it work with more stands . Say 14 - 16 . The aim is to get a thick braid almost an hand full when grabbing

The first example please. How do i get it onto the dowel.
Very nice. However, how do I finish the braid so that it does not come unraveled?
How did you tie/loop the first one at the very top ? 😭 that’s the only part I need to learn.
Clear and very helpful instructions thank you
Glad it was helpful! :)
How did you tie the very beginning of #1 to your dowel?
Gotta ask what the back side of the third braid looked like? I think I am going to use these more then I think!
Thank youuuu these are very clear and helpful
How did you do toe it around the stick to braid? I want to do the second technique to make a purse strap
Fantastic tutorial! Done slowly and in such a way that it was all easily learned. Awesome, thank you!!

Can't find where lengths are?
But how do you start at the top?
Hi there! My ropes are attached with a lark’s head knot. I show how to connect the ropes for the endless falls braid and the 6 strand braid. 💛
For the first pattern, my question is: how do you tie a rope onto a pole with only one end? There suppose to be 2 ends. Where is the other end? Did you hide it(joking)? If there is actually 1 end, How do you make it?
I need an answer too.
