used Shotcut for first time ever!! was the only video editor that was *kinda* working on Cosmic; for example the drag and drop is broken; point is, don't consider Cosmic *really* working, even if im using it!! also, if you change the shortcuts, you need to restart the compositor (pretty much relog) for changes to take effect ..dont know any other way at least :/
I don't know how you're using it, I mean, for me at least it is very unusable. There are some key "features" that I personally need, like double click the headerbar to maximize, remember window sizes and position, translations, well, kinda deal breakers for me rn... I know it will be "fixed" soon ,tho..
I am really happy that you are active again... You already answered me that you were currently focusing on Cosmic which is fine and great. As fan of gnome and your style video I would appreciate to have updates on Gnome atleast once a week.
If they keep at it this could seriously kick gnome's ass. There is so much missing in gnome that is already included in cosmic. And those features work in very simple ways. It is also way lighter and more performant on low end hardware. Not complex like kde but some nice customization options with an opiniated workflow. I wish they would provide an ostree or transactional-update version. Fedora and suse guys will take care of that anyway.

I just switched to Linux and after seeing this, I feel like I have a long way to go considering how much one has to configure or make their desktop work well. Must be annoying for only being able to copy an emoji XD but like you said it works. Sorry I'm kinda new to this channel but is Cosmic like something for Pop OS? I did some research but barely know what's it for, like customizing your desktop?
launcher icons seem pixelated, also the edges are really sharp (for example on the emoji applet, the rounded corners are meh) will there be any shadowing on the edges?

I said not to them except what you commanded me - to use dwl, my compositor and your compositor". Indeed, the non-believers will be cast into the lake of fire for their use of bloat.

Cosmic is a full desktop, similar to Gnome and Plasma; it is sponsored by System76, that they do PopOS, but you can run Cosmin desktop on any distro
