Great channel, it would be cool to have a video on strenght and nutrition. Is there a big difference in strenght gain when you are in a surplus, maintenance and deficit. Thanks :)
Of course there is, in a surplus you get bigger muscles thus being able to move more weight. In maintenance it depends on how much bf% you have, could be muscle + neural or just neural. In a deficit the strength you get is probably all neural adaptations and in closed chain exercises neural + being overall lighter. If all else is equal the strength adaptations in a surplus are going to be the greatest.
@@khronos2213 Its about periodization where weight matter for the sport. Because we all know surplus is better, but still is about how and when there is more benefit to specialise in one protocol. As an athlete in a sport where being lighter is an advantage, we dont have a shit ton of bodyfat, so I feel like the question is if i should 2-3 month of my life in hypertrophy or should I split it with a strength endurance. If neural adaptation is independent of my nutrition, then its is easier to chose when to put it in my periodization.
Great work and fantastic that you give this to people for free! Thank you!
Is it possible to derive a formula rather than rely on tables?
I think you need to remake the title to go viral. Something like “science has finally found an accurate way to predict your 1rm”
Excellent video! Thank you so much for all the great and helpful content. 🙏
