I'd imagine when Matt hired editors, the editors would be experienced in a league-editing-style. The transition probably felt rough for the editor to go from league content to Warhammer content. Especially if Nicky, like myself, doesn't know anything about Warhammer. That said, it's a very well edited considering it can't have been an easy transition. Good work. :)
I will say, in the intro at least, it's a little overworked (or I've had too much tequila). Either way, I think the quality of these videos overall comes from improving the work of the "cast" on screen but when the video turns into and editing montage, you begin to lose the plot... somewhat. I enjoyed this one, don't get me wrong, but maybe picking the better half of the edits and cutting the rest would be a nicer final product? This turned into a bit of a wall of text but I may be a boomer and all the flashing lights turn me off but I personally would suggest an additive approach to editing rather than a creative approach. That said, I do love your work Mr Nickyolas and you do what makes you, Matt and the audience happy, I'm just one guy.
Ya it’s definitely been weird, I haven’t even been the one editing much anymore, I’m more in charge is distributing content to the other editors, looking then over, providing feedback etc, lots of lovely fellows it’s a pleasure working with them. Saying that I’ve had some kind of influence on every edited video since hades part 1 :)
This was exactly what I was hoping you'd do for every game, its a lot easier to watch and we still get all the cool parts. I really just don't have the attention span to watch 3 hour videos back to back.
Dude the Rokkit launcha thing didn't phase me after there was a week straight where my brother would roll a 6 to hit after advancing his boyz squad with a rokkit eavy weapon boy and then roll another 6 for the dakka trigger

@@brain_tonic it comes from playing against tau in 7th edition. My very first game was black templar vs tau. I took 2 land raiders full of dudes, and he blew them both up turn 1 with double riptides. I dont hate the players, I just hate the tau. Damn weeaboo space commies. 😂😂
I think this is closer to what you should've uploaded from the start. Either highlights or shorter videos. But I dont like this editor, the over editing is sorta unecesarry and it's really not funny. 80% of the humor here is just really short normie humor, (like putting a thwomp face over bricky when he groaned. Kinda just really not funny.) I think you should take a page out of how midwinter minis and/or 40k in 40 minutes do their battles. Because both of them have not only been doing this longer than your group has, but their content; I'd say is 100% better than yours for players both new and old. But they're especially useful for new players wanting to watch how games play out.
