It’s unbelievable what they were able to achieve for this movie. I think that Child’s Play is one of the scariest movies ever made. The way they brought Chucky to life will always be a spectacle to me.
It truly is a great and underrated horror film. The character of Chucky is EVERYWHERE but it’s rare to see the OG Child’s Play top lists of scariest horror films and it totally fucking is. Such a good horror film.
Damn, it's a shame that quick speech never made the final cut! The electroshock scene was always gruesome, yet having Chucky reveal he was once on the receiving end of that very treatment puts a personal touch to the moment. He never cared for other people's feelings, so to take previous pain and exert it on the doctor in that sequence makes more sense. Like the cut sequence of the little girl briefly helping Chucky at the sanitarium. In the final cut, Karen leans over to hear what the kid had to say about Andy. I always figured there was a cut sequence explaining Andy getting to know that blond girl, albeit briefly. Shame we fans will never see the original cut of this horror classic. 🇵🇷🇺🇸😎
It's funny how Chucky has impacted so many people. He's this murderous psycho doll yet we all love the hilarity of the character especially in the campier ones. Totally universal and Brad's voice is so iconic
Not only is the face awesome. But so are the puppeteers and practical effects people. It seems like every new doll looks worse and worse. Idk why the new Chuckys since curse of chucky look flimsy and cheap. There's no love in movie effects anymore.
Child's Play is a special effects marvel even today. I'm not one of those claiming that movies were better in the past, but I feel like nobody today would make an effort to create dolls and animatronics as well as hire both children and little people just to make a possessed doll seem real. It was definitely worth it, though.
Why are the behind the scenes of older movies always lower quality or in a different aspect ratio to the released version? Surely they're shot on the same camera, right?
@@Ivone58 As far as I remember, he was once found to have chats with minors some time ago. He played Chucky in the scenes where the animatronic wouldn't look well (mainly when he's chasing Andy around), and also played other characters like Dolly in Dolly Dearest
@@Ivone58 You're welcome. As a Chucky fan, I was severely dissapointed when I learned about it. To think someone as respected as Ed Gale ended up being such a creep, was honestly quite disturbing
even in bts footage he looks so alive. like he moves like a puppet but he feels so alive. and between takes he just looks so done lmao
😂😂😂
I wish they would go back to animatronics😢
Wait bts is there army bts ❤❤

There actually was. I’m not sure where but I’ve seen a pic of the little girl and Chucky
I really love the expressions he has! It really shows the effort they put into this
I miss when movies were made like this. So cool to see and thanks for sharing it! 😎

Anyone else miss that Chucky face? I think it's face is most terrifying, one of the best, in my opinion.
Yes! My favorite Chucky of all Chucky's!

It definitely is. The transition to human face.
So uncanny how chucky looks even behind the scenes
very interesting and amazing to see thanks for uploading this footage!
and thanks a lot to the person who found the footage
I'm so glad they used brad dourifs voice this one is just ugh.
It’s only a placement voice I believe, I don’t think it was ever intended to be used
It’s a placeholder to test the lip syncs and stuff
Yes the best
essa é dublagem tbm combinou

it's a shame that this scene wasn't in the movie
In the shock treatment bit, the place holder Chucky voice kinda sounds like Garfield 😂
