Interesting video and book which I would be interested in as my father was aircrew and I flew at university. My flying suit was a rather unpleasant lightweight olive green fabric but a few others had the latest issue which looked far smarter and more durable. The so called “cold weather” jackets worn over the suit were also much prized. I think the RAF had air force blue ones post war which IMO looked much smarter.
