I started listening when I was 15 and I am now 45. I have loved Rick and Bubba for so long it’s going to be hard to adjust to life without hearing them daily. Such an honor to have gotten to grow up with these wonderful men. Thank y’all for everything🤍

I started listening to the show in 1996 when I started my first job. I think this was about the same time R&B hit the Huntsville airways. Listened ever since. You have literally been a part of my entire career.
I also started listening in 1996.
I have listened to them on the way to work for over 20 years. Sad to hear the show is ending. At least we have all their shows available on different platforms.
33 years old. Live in Gulf Shores, Born in Brookwood where my grandmother worked where they had listened/called in to the show regularly. Watched on Turner, waiting for the bus from 3rd grade until it ended. Tune in on RUclips now. End of an Era. Time to grow up... All of us. 😢. Will never forget sign guy outside the studio.

Noooo!!! As an Alabama girl that was transplanted to Florida in 1996 y’all have been a lifeline for me to stay 😅 connected to my beloved Alabama! The first year or two we lived in FL I had to find you the best way I could but I really had to stay connected with y’all and listened every day! I love all of you and so appreciate all you’ve done to entertain us, encourage us and inspire us in so many ways. Im 41 and remember listening to the show driving to High School in the late 90s early 2000s. Truly the end of an era and they will be missed.

Sad to see it ending, been listening for almost 20 years. (As long as I've been alive.) Waiting to hear what y'all will be getting into, as you transition into a new period of life. I'm hoping at least some of y'all will continue to do something public like this. If that happens, I'll be there.

THIS is what I am thinking solely based on Bubba saying, "Not what we wanted to hear."
They basically said that later on. Rick has said he is going in his own direction, Bubba kind of left it up in the air.
I am sad to see it end. I would love to see them both continue in some kind of format.

Rick hinted that him and a few other staff members are going to continue doing radio but on a slightly different platform. I don't believe Bubba and Helms will be joining them, for obvious reasons.
I honestly thought this was a farce when I saw the headline. I'm so sorry to hear this for us the R&B family. However, I'm so blessed to have found this show over 15 years ago!!!! And I know I will be able to watch all of the videos and listen to podcasts for years to come to catch up on everything. May God continue to bless each and every one of you guys! And your families. I’m 26 an ever since I was 20 an started my full time working adult life I’ve listened to y’all on the way to work In the mornings thank y’all
When I was going through the worst year of my when my wife wanted me gone and I had to leave a great job where I was invested and so called friends and divorced me. My world was crashing around me and couldn’t sleep or anything. I would turn on the tune in app and listen to the best of moments and smile and fall asleep and then wake up to speedy, Greg, and Helms on the kickoff hour. And even listen to the best of cds. Guys you don’t know how much you mean to me and I thank you for everything you have done !!!!
Man I hate to hear it but I hope it's what the team wanted and was ready to do. I grew up listening to you on the way to work, at work, and most importantly yall helped me grow in my walk with Christ for which I am forever thankful. I hope the show can go on and bring more lives to our Savior. Thank yall for everything!

Been listening since the beginning in 1994!!! I especially love the Coach Burgess stories. I have been coaching football for 33 years now. I have coached in GA, AL, FL, and TN. Fortunately, I have had the Rick and Bubba show wherever I have been. My morning routine will never be the same again. Thank you for the many, many memories you have given me over the years. Most importantly, thank you for your work in the advancement of God's Kingdom!!!! The memories will fade but God's Kingdom one day will reign forever.

From listening to your show I discovered Paul Thorn and booked him here in Morristown, TN at a local art center. You guys are the best and I appreciate all the great memories. Well, I am really going to miss Rick and Bubba and the crew. They made my days at work more enjoyable, and myself and my coworkers would at the stuff these guys would get themselves into. I felt I was a part of the family, many of the days when I laugh and cry with the guys on the show. Now that I am retired from work and the military. I am heartbroken and happy to see my friends enjoy the rest of their lives with their families and friends. Thank You all for many wonderful years of listening pleasure.
I've been listening since day 1 when I was in high school and it was Rick Burgess and the Morning Extravaganza. I remember the move from Gadsden to Birmingham. This show got me through morning commutes to Jacksonville when I was in college and it got me through almost 15 years of commutes to my hellhole job I had in Birmingham. I remember them throwing biscuits off buildings in Anniston and Rick telling the story of when he jumped on a deflating moonwalk. Willie and Wanda and the great stories about his Dad. I remember when Speedy had hair and when Greg made occasional appearance on the show when he worked for Alabama Power. Thank you guys for over 30 years of being there when I needed you. Thank you Rick for recently responding to my email about my questions about life after death after my father died. I don't know what's next but I wish all of you the best.

I wondered when Rick decided to build a house on his farm and move there. He also asked his kids if they were interested. Bubba said he wished it go on for a few more years. Maybe some of them can stay together. I’d certainly listen to.

It’s a sad day for sure. A coworker introduced me to the Rick and Bubba Show 20+ years ago. Not too long after that the local affiliate took them off the air so I was showless for a short time. When they first started streaming the show using RealPlayer I found computer software to record the shows every day. I then downloaded the shows to a MP3 player I took to work so I could listen to them during the day. Later on they started the Xtreme Club and then the Podcast archives to present. They’ve impacted so many people over the years and introduced new traditions to so many families. My wife makes Numm Nuts every Christmas because they introduced them to us. Wherever they go and whatever they do I wish them well and God Bless all of them.
Changing times, changes in media. I would imagine that to continue the show it would have had to be for less money. Better to retire, go out on top. ❤️❤️🤟
I used to hate this show never listened until I found Jesus in August 8th 2010 and was searching for something to listen to while I hauled concrete in Birmingham Alabama and after hearing about Rick little boy on the tragic accident I have unbelievably compassion for Rick and his family and fell in love with the whole Rick and Bubba family thank you all for so many memories God bless you all
Wow. Started listening in 1998 when I lived in Birmingham attending school. They came on locally in KY soon after I moved back and listening since. I vote for Sally Jesse and the little guy from the Lou Graham concert as guests on one of the final shows! Congrats guys on a great career

First heard Rick y Bubba on The Ticket Sports Radio out of the FL panhandle in ~1997. Their Evangelical Alabama roots are interesting. The old confederacy has lots of meaning to me and that's what R&B represented. I loved how they went against "The radio consultant goobs." Many southerners love to "Pass the Gravy Please" which has its pros (tastes amazing) and cons (diabetus and double chin, which many southerners have).. Many radio talk show hosts start off as rebellious (Stern/Lex n Terry/Don n MIke) but as they age they become more conservative which has it's pros and cons also. May Rick and Bubba live on in perpetuity...
The Rick and Gary show? Maybe? I can think of many many times people were cut off during the show and you hear someone say “we can’t tell that” so let’s hear what couldn’t be talked about the rest of the year if possible…
