I’ve always used a saddle clam in the upright position and haven’t had any major back ache problems.
With a set of English clams, absolutely. Glad you haven't had any issues.
Hi, do you know what kind of wood they use to make clamp!?
Ash for French, Beech for English as far as I'm aware.
Thanks Phil! What are your thoughts on something like the DreamFactory automatic clamp (on Etsy)? I am considering this for future projects like bags. How would you compare that to the style clams you use?
I can't say that I have used it unfortunately. I enjoy using their table top clamp though. Try and see if you can find someone who has used one and get their thoughts.
