Nice video guys! Great work on the lift, I would feel comfortable having you lift my truck! I love the look of the 2015 Ford F150 with 6" BDS lift and wheels with not too much offset. Happy motoring!
☹️ Removing / replacing the engine in my dad’s 1995 F150 (in the snow) was a lot easier than this. Sheesh - no thanks I’ll pay RealTruck to install it! 😂
Wow, new to the truck world and was considering lifting my 2018... Had no idea how much work was involved with a lift kit. Might just have to save up my pennies and pay a shop to do this job.
Good idea. It’s not something you wanna do if you’re not completely confident in getting it right. I myself would never do anything like this on my own. Just the frustration it would cause it’s worth paying someone else. lol Not to mention it would probably take me 2 weeks to do this.
Great video! Gives me a good idea how lift kits are installed BUT I thought that there were no welding required on most kits? Why did that bracket needed to be welded on to the dropped cross bar?
I hate to be that guy but I install lifts for a living and y’all make this Lift way more complicated and difficult on yourselves than it needs to be so many steps you guys took that actually slow you down in putting this lift on, and not to mention if it’s an EcoBoost no chance you drop that diff out without cutting the frame first. The oil pan is to deep and wide
You must really like that skid plate. Video shows all four bolts being tighten separately and then again, all four bolts separately being torqued. Sorry, I just found that funny. Great video though!! Nice work!
Hello everyone ,I am about to upgrade my new 22 f-150 raptor all by myself, but there’s something about axle I can’t understand, why not take down the driver side cv axle but leave it hang?Is it because the D side axle cant be tooken down without damaging it?I am so confused right now ,looking forward to reply, thank you guys!
I believe it has to do with the length of it. It’s shorter than the passenger side. So the passenger side might be in the way and/or, they don’t want that one hanging for so long due to the weight of it. The driver was much shorter and can be supported with a bungee or something else. Don’t quote me, but I believe that’s the reason 😅 I’ve never installed a lift kit, but have been looking to do it myself, as well.
What do you guys do with all of the exchanged parts after the kit is installed? I want a lift installed but I fear anyone keeping all of my parts that got exchanged and making more money on em online after I leave with my truck.
Great work! But my question to customers is, why would I buy a top trim level truck such as a platinum edition or king ranch truck that already is expensive and add after market expensive parts, and why not get a base model truck and add all sorts of new modes? I mean, stock rims in a high trim vehicle are already pricy. Does this voids factory warranty, does it affects your insurance price?
The main reason I would say is because none of this has to do with the luxuries you get inside the truck with these models. The base models are base interiors also. So, it is just a matter of what you are looking for I guess.
Why at the start of the video you show breaking the ball joints free with a air gun and fork and then you show the rap with a hammer method after that? The fork method can ruin the boots, right?
+Robert, Not sure on why they were using this method. I assume they tried the normal hammer method and it did not work on one side and that is why they are shown using the fork. Unfortunately, I was not there for the install to know exactly what happened.
Hi! I have a simple question. ))) I want to put tires from 33 inches to 35 for 2013 F150 4WD. And at the same time, I want the geometry of the axles and steering to remain as close to the factory as possible. Which lift kit or leveling kit do you recommend? Thanks!
If buy BDS six inch lift kit for my 2016 F-150 I live in the New York / New Jersey area what qualified technician and mechanics could I get to install it on my vehicle the way it was done in the video?
question, I have a 2010 f150 2wD and its lifted 6”in and my traction control is flashing on every turn and stops the truck. Do you know what is the issue?
Can you list the dealers you have an agreement with? Im down by Madison miggt make the drive to purchase. Do people finamce the lift in wirh the truck?
No one finances a lift with the vehicle, you can just buy a truck that’s already lifted. But it’s cheaper to buy a stock truck and out the lift on yourself.
+Dan, Lifts tend to put more strain on the suspension components. However, if you go with a well-known and quality lift they usually adjust for these new angles prolonging the life of these suspension components.
Great video!!! Thank you!! I’m glad I subscribed... I was wondering if you can do a detailed video like this on but on a 2017 Nissan Titan (non Xd) please!!
This lift costs how much, but the purchase of additional hardware may be required? What a joke. No way I'd ever install any type of lift that involved cutting the cross member mount. I'm pretty sure that'd be considered structural damage. RIP any warranty you might have.
@@Anythingautomotive is it impossible to drop the front differential straight down (once unbolted) like they did at 6:42 without cutting back the curved crossmember mount (the one that holds the lower control arm) or do you have to kind of work the front differential around that curved crossmember mount as you lower it to get it from underneath the truck?

The new f150’s only look good in black
That's a lot of work with lots of specialty tools. Not a DIY kind of project! Why no safety goggles when using power tools? You guys rock!
This is awesome to watch and see what all actually goes into these mods. I wish I could work on a brand new truck lol.
Imagine doing this on jack stands!
In gravel, with hand tools... nope!
Yup, I’ve done it twice. Why? Because I seriously have been burned by some many “mechanics” that are really just hacks.

Get the most expensive one you can find
Most lift and leveling kits keep the geometry close to factory, but lifted a vehicle will wear parts faster no matter how high you lift it.

Not all kits offer another leaf. So they use the block instead

I can't believe BDS doesn't offer replacement struts on a $2,000 lift anymore...
they do
So much for bolt on.
Why would anyone want that lift ? there's too many other good ones to choose from that don't require a crew to install
Name one
This is alot of work
No t case drop since you changed the geometry of the truck now it's going to destroy that drive shaft that's how you make a Ford look some what ok
I don't like the strut spacers that why i went Rancho with there extended struts and shocks
very through, nice job...
I like how nobody is wearing safety glasses... lol
