Build up Shelton, show how strong he is, make Swerve beating him really mean something and have the anticipation for Lashley reach boiling point at the same time. They’re going to do a year long angle in 6 weeks.

Im suprised it was so quiet. I was there next to the ramp with my son and it sounded loud af in there. It was also full. There were even lots of people sitting in the hard camera side which is rare. I did go vack and watch later and it was definitely quiet when OC was talking

my biggest fear with lashley in aew is how they book his matches. in aew you have 145 lbs stringbeans superplexing or powerslamming 300lbs behemoths. a smaller wrestler can beat a bigger one with speed, agility, endurance and or smarts (see rey or bret hart). in aew you'll have hook manhandling monsters like brock lesnar.
Glad to see these guys on TV still, but I really don’t know if there needs to be another heel group in this company. Marks cheer for anyone and that’s the core audience of AEW, but still.
This whole match was an experienced pro wrestler trying to make sense of an indi minded goof's "offense" with varying degrees of success and a classic TK finish that lessens Shelton for absolutely no reason.

my biggest fear with lashley in aew is how they book his matches. in aew you have 145 lbs stringbeans superplexing or powerslamming 300lbs behemoths. a smaller wrestler can beat a bigger one with speed, agility, endurance and or smarts (see rey or bret hart). in aew you'll have hook manhandling monsters like brock lesnar.
