This song has been stuck in my head for years.... I'm completely astonished that it was written by a little kid
Fantastic movie, great music, top notch acting, awesome settings. This movie won several oscars, including best lead that was won and well deserved was F. Murray Abraham. Best Actor. I can't say enough good things about this movie. One of my favorites.
Mozart was 9 when composed that.
I was four when I composed this 🥱

Anyone?
I can never tel. Is this a Harpsichord or Clavichord I'm hearing?
I am not an expert, but I believe the clavichord has a more bass tone and is an older instrument and with a rectangular shape. Although there are rectangular-shaped harpsichords, called virginals, the instrument that appears in the movie scene has the classic shape of a harpsichord.
100% sure it's a harpsichord.
its not a Mozart composition. Its Scarlatti or someone of that pre-mozart era. But there a lots of things in Amadeus not written by mozart that are brilliant. I quite like the finale to the Salieri opera.
It is a Mozart composition, it was written by him at 9 years old.
It's not written by Scarlatti, it was written by a 9-year-old Mozart whilst he was travelling through Europe in 1764, I believe. The manuscript was discovered in Salzburg years later, and it was shown that he wrote it on the back of a small slip of paper in Zurich.
This was written by Mozart age 9 or 10. It’s absolutely brilliant for that age.
