Thanks 🙏 for sharing! Awesome video! I to, am a late bloomer steelhead-er. Old Army buddy got me started. New adventures! Tight lines to you and your brother!
Steelhead are certainly challenging. I have not really concentrated on them for almost 20 years. Even then, it was tough sledding if you did not dedicate yourself to it. I learned the Wilson (so I thought) and still did not learn it well enough (apparently). I imagine it it tougher for fly fishing since it seems most folks successful at steel on coastal rivers are more into bobber/jig/shrimp combos. Great video, as always.
Awesome video. Definitely keep at the spey game! Trust the process and the magic will happen. If you ever need any advice give me a shout. Spey fishing for Steelhead is all I do.
@@riverwiseanglersflyfishing8538 thank you! I’ve definitely been keeping at it and have made some big improvements including catching some fish. I actually had a film idea after listening to you on the River Rambler podcast. It involves brewing a beer and swinging flies. I’ll send you a DM through IG and go into more detail. Cheers!
Do not use anything that mimics an egg pattern as it is more likely to be swallowed and is detrimental to the survival after release of these special fish.
@@richmosley2519 agreed. To each their own though I suppose. I also believe that with greater effort, comes greater reward. If I wanted to do it the easier way, I would…..but I don’t. I enjoy the experience of challenging myself. I feel like it leads to a more fulfilling life….but again, to each their own……oh and I also just like going fishing with my brother.
Thank you. This film was great to watch! ❤
Thank you for watching!
Beautiful film and excellent music. Thanks for having me, brother!
Thank you and thanks for agreeing to let me stick a camera in your face again!

Nice one Sean! Great drone footage in this video. Congrats on another cool PNW video.
Thank ya sir!
Great video! I started getting into Spey casting before we moved. I miss it.
That's awesome! Maybe it's time to take up trout spey!
Awesome video

You guys from Portland?
Not originally but currently based out of there. Where are based out of?
Great Music! Lot's of talking though..
Thanks!
Do you by chance play guitar and sing for a band called Pushy?
@@souldiarrhea I don’t but my brother Adam who is also in this film did before they split up.

Thank you for that info. I had no idea. I'm now glad I usually was in the maribou jig category of feathery fluttery things.
Fly fishing is great for trout and salmon but almost waste of time for steelhead
I’m not sure that I agree but thanks for watching. Tight lines!
Nnaaaahhhh, go floss a spawner with a bobber rig
Flossing is certainly a popular option around certain 'combat fishing' areas. People at their worst, which is really sad.
I believe it is more difficult (fly fishing for steel), but certainly not a waste of time.
