There's a difference between superstars and winners. When the Bulls lost to the Magic in '95, MJ said to Tim Grover "I'll see you tomorrow". When people said Kobe won't win without Shaq, he went out and got 2. When Tim Duncan felt the pain of losing to Miami's Big 3, he went back together with the Spurs next year with a vengeance. Winners listen to criticism, and they work. Superstars listen to it, and they whine. Kyrie is a big star, no doubt about it. But he ain't a winner.

Kyrie's 35 million a year salary doesn't exist without the media .The reason sports salaries exploded is because of the media and because of the work done by these reporters and media personalities that Kyrie doesn't value, whom actually show up to work everyday. Without the people who create hype and create storylines and create drama, Kyrie is just a man who puts a ball into a hoop well. Yep i definitely remember that. Then during his 2nd year in boston he publicly admit he apologized to LeBron because he messed up in Cleveland. And apologized to his former teammates in Cleveland. Then bounced from boston and celtics fans can't stand him 🤣🤣🤣
Just remember, every single solitary season since Kyrie forced his way out of Cleveland, what ever team he's been on, has had a worse winning percentage with him IN the lineup, than they have WITHOUT him in the lineup.

Stephen has a point. I don't agree with him often, but on this he is bang on the money. Nothing he said is not factual. And Kyrie needs to stop with this pseudo-intellectual nonsense. Edit: OK, can we stop with the BS, please. It's a fact that the Nets got swept. It's a fact that Kyrie' (personal) decisions of the past 3 years, affected the chemistry of the team. It's a fact that Kyrie said he "didn't need coaching". It's a fact that he quit on LeBron and wanted to go at it alone. It's a fact that he then quit on the Celtics when things didn't go his way. No one is making this 💩 up.
@@baileyreichert6138 it's not even a profound statement though. The problem with kyrie is he believes every thought he has is completely original and full of wisdom. Love how everyone ripped on Harden for being frustrated by Nets issues but then all those same people voice those same frustrations with Nets…with some even still blaming Harden for Nets downfall. The irony.
I frankly don't see how both of those things can't be true 🤯. In other words, Harden has already shown us all he can't win with a wide range of talents at his disposal. He also has antecedents on chemistry matters... Kyrie is a show-stopper and extremely gifted, he has won in the past under incredible odds and put up good numbers throughout the season. This Nets team was built around the big three (now big 2) that matters quite a lot! They gave away Harden and literally got a dud and a knockoff Curry out of it. Now, imagine you throw that team against a defensive dynamo like Boston... end of story. I want to see how it will end! I want to see Harden prove the league wrong but it takes more than just a second round run, he must go ahead and help Embid win a chip (at some point).
@@rubenjr3085 I really don’t understand the wide range of talents around Harden argument? You’re telling me he had the talent around him anywhere close to the last probably 10 champions (with the exceptions of the Bucks). Hardens numbers two’s have been guys like Westbrook. Hardens best number two (outside KD when they were young and this year when they were a mess) was Chris Paul. Good chance they would have won it all if Paul didn’t get hurt. IMHO Harden has done more with less than any other superstar of today outside Giannis. Harden kept everyone of his teams in the hunt…which you can’t even say about Lebron.
SAS does have a point! If we showed up to work when we wanted to, and didn’t follow company policies, Procedures, and rules we’d be fired not get paid millions 💰💰💰
This is sad because Kyrie is misappropriating a serious issue to deflect legitimate blame from his actions. He built this team and has left them high and dry for much of the past 3 years, but it's the media's fault for shaping the public perception. That's what he does though, any issue he can latch on to he does to garner support that's what he does, Oh it's the vaccine, oh it's the capitol attacks, Kyrie sits at home watching the news scroll to find a reason not to play, so that he doesn't have to face the fact that he's not as good as he thinks he is.
He doesn’t sit around trying to find reasons not to play. They literally wanted to force inject poison into his body and he refused. That’s a legitimate reason as can be.
@@k-way6146 I’m sorry, were you living under the expectation that tweets were private? Honestly I feel bad for KD. Dude played with one of the most selfless superstars in the history of sports. A guy who would let the ego on the side and focus on winning. He left that for..... Kyrie. Total opposite of what I just described. He feels like he's some kind of insightful guy with a great deal of knowledge, but he comes off as the Kanye of the NBA. Not wrong about the his take on thr media, but he's delusional in thinking that this early loss is not partially on him.
It's ridiculous that you compare Kyrie to Kanye. Kanye is not remotely as delusional and is far smarter than Kyrie will ever be. Also you meant to say selfish, not selfless.
@@carbiv I was referring to Curry when I mentioned selfless. Which he is. It's not ridiculous of a comparison. Like Kanye, Kyrie has a lot of talent, but his head seems to be somewhere else. Kyrie is acting like the media attacks him personally like they did AI. AI showed up EVERY game he could to the effect that they couldn't speak ill on his play. Gotta play victim when you're not okay with being accountable. I don't agree with SAS all the time but this was factual.
Meanwhile Chris Paul, at damned near 40 years old, played a perfect game last night. He closed out the series and isn’t complaining about the media on twitter. Kyrie should take note.
Irving can’t complain about wnba players being underpaid as a result of little to no media coverage and also complain about the nbas media scrutiny. It’s either you want to go play for fun or you want to get paid. But the media is part of the reason why you get paid so much.
The media USED to be like that..were in a different era..they're becoming obsolete and they know this which is why it's always about over-sensationalism ...they need drama or u won't tune in..it used to be "they talk about it so we watch" but now it's "we watch it so they talk about it"..the media could cover the wnba 24/7 and the ratings might get worse lol

It's excruciating to see a talent like Kyrie wasting his focus on non-basketball stuff when he has nothing good to offer. Try to win and lead the team for once. Why on earth do you hold an organization over the fire with your contract in Brooklyn but not play? Sorry not sorry. I get it. We all go through things. But he is not blameless in this. Nothing is wrong with kyrie Irving. People value different things in life and see things from a different perspective. You can’t force someone to do something they don’t want to just because you wanna see him play. Basketball is not life it’s a game he has a belief and a religion. Lebron is known for load management throughout his career for work related reasons. Those reasons were never these reasons… let alone fundamental follow up of play on the court. Fans deserve better… and Kyrie last 2-3-4 seasons have been under expectations.
My biggest takeaway from Kyries and Stephen As feud is the shift of the perception towards the workforce within generations. Stephen A believes- if you are getting paid good money to do your job you better show up because you have teammates, fans, and a whole organization relying on you. You signed up for this so unless you’re injured you better show up. Kyrie believes- that is slave mentality; just because I’m getting paid to do my job doesn’t mean I have to forget about what I believe in and not put me and my families well being first. He believes Stephen A is a puppet because Stephen A will do whatever for ESPN. Kyrie believes Stephen A is puppet because Stephen A voice holds weight because ESPN says so. Stephen A will continue to be the personality he is because it generates revenue for ESPN, but as soon as he says something that jeopardizes ESPNs business (even if its something he believes or something for HIS well being) he would get cut off just like anyone else. Kyrie could do a better job maybe being clear and not so cryptic in what he says and posts so maybe his fans can get behind him but that’s not my place on what he should do Stephen As philosophy is do whatever it takes to protect your job/money because that is what got you to this point of success(This is the 2000 gen mentality) Kyrie’s philosophy is do whatever you feel is going protect your well being even if it may jeopardize your pay in the future or how your boss views you. (New generation “job is slavery mentality) I understand both point of views but the main thing from all this is that we are witnessing the mentalities of two different generations bumping heads. Underneath all of this we can relate thats why its hard to disagree with everything both sides are saying.
Dude you nailed it. Its sad that people do not understand this and theyll agree with one perspective, and most of the time its gonna be whatever is on the media

Kyrie Irving right before the next game of the season: I DON’T WANT TO PLAY TODAY because I’m traumatized about the Capital Riots situation!!🤣🤣
Kyrie Just before tip-off the next game: I actually don’t feel like playing because I’m personally distressed about the media talking bad about me. I need them to RESPECT MY PRIVACY!!🤣🤣
Kyrie Right before the game after that: HEY GUYS, I don’t feel like playing tonight because I’m personally too STRESSED ABOUT all of the things that’s happened this season!🤣🤣
Kyrie AFTER the last game when we need him the most: I didn’t play because I COMPLETELY SLEPT IN and totally forgot I had a game I NEEDED TO PLAY!! I didn’t wake up until the final buzzer sounded!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
at least he aint using the mental health excuse or the my back issue or the mental health issue caused by bad back to flare up again. How does Kevin Durant not explode when listening to all these excuses and laziness from his teammates is beyond me. Ironic how he can stand and tolerate kyrie and ben but not draymond green LOL. Its just odd to me.
This is stupid the organization went full fascist and forced their players to get a medical procedure that 95% of the league didn’t have to
Kyrie proves his point
Stephen A is doing exactly what Kyrie called him out on lol smh
Exactly 😂😂😂
Shelton Williams. Is he wrong though
FACTS!!!
And what is that exactly? Telling facts?
He fell for the bait! If Kyrie is such a non factor in his eyes he wouldn't have even addressed his comments.
"Im gonna stay calm." Proceeds to yell for 5 minutes
Stephen A has had some crazy takes over the years, but he's right about this one. Kyrie is delusional.
Earth is flat🤓🤓
But kyrie not wrong about everything
They didn’t even address Kyries tweet about how reporters just cover their mockery by saying “our job is to critique you” i wonder why🤔
Facts, SAS completely avoided the Tweet topic...
Well that is their job....
Um… because of the reason we’re all commenting here. There media job is simply to host a large forum and discuss with constructive or non constructive criticism their opinions on sports.
Given what SAS is saying… he’s right! We talking basketball and this dude is getting paid millions for his talent when he’s clearly a time abuser. We all have coworkers like this who still expect to get paid and negate from their lack of contribution to be efficient at work. They got swept!
He’s too skilled for them to have gotten swept… so he’s become a liability and he’s trying to reverse the narrative off the fact that he’s being legitimately called out.
That’s their job tho 🤔…..
@@akirakatani4726 Na man, Stephan A calling Kyrie “someone who is thinking he’s above people,” and “weak” isn’t just basketball.. That’s coming for a person and creating a perception about then.
Then when kyrie actually replies to that bc he is a human with feelings, Stephen A wants to say “Ohh i get paid to critique you”. Stephen A should stick to basketball especially since he’s telling Kyrie to do the same. Trust me im not defending everything Kyrie has done bc he ain’t perfect.
But his message is that People like Stephan are basically aloud to say ANYTHING they want about how kyrie chooses to go about things even if they aren’t just basketball critiques… But just get to defend it easily by sayin oh this is my job to critique you. They not just critiquing basketball trust me Kyrie wouldn’t care if it was just about him getting swept. Id be upset if people said im delusional and egotistical selfish cuz i didn’t a vaccine or just choices that i make as my own man.
"I'm gonna be calm..." said Stephen A Smith 😂
Kyrie up on his high horse once again 😂😂😂 thinks he’s smarter than everyone around him
Yup lol! And SAS is the same exact way.
@@neetrab yup which is why Stephen A is so triggered by him
The smartest person in the room never has to say they’re the smartest person in the room because it’s obvious. The moment someone starts saying that, you can guarantee it’s not true.
I couldn't wait to hear this after yesterday SAS said he would keep his thought for 24 hours and unload on Kyrie. 😂
Pause
He didn’t unload. He wasn’t loud wit energy like u would’ve thought
So he just admitted Kyrie lives rent free on his head??? 😂
"You are a professional at taking time off"... That's cold 😂 😂 😂 😂
Sas blasting kyrie is the point kyrie was trying to make😂😂
💯
Lol, exactly.
And the point is stupid, what's the issue?
@@googley98 ofc sas will find it stupid, kyrie's comments tarnishes media and targeting kyrie is easier than talking about kd
So kyrie should just be devoid of Criticism, we just ignore the fact that kyrie gets paid 30 millions dollars, barely played, and got swept
I need Stephen A vs Kyrie Irving in a boxing ring 😂😂😂💯
Kyrie might not show up. He might just be like I'd rather fight social injustice than fighting a sports analyst.
Stephen A speakin facts tho 💯💯💯
Steven A Smith Chain is shining bruh 🔥🔥🔥
Bro, I was so distracted 😂
Kyrie may have made some valid points, however, he's a rebel without a cause.
And his going platinum...
Lol.. You're the type who doesn't believe in Principles . You might want to check out Kyries philanthropic efforts but like you said " he's a rebel without a cause " 🤷🏾♂️
@@JohnWick-gl6mw the stuff he does regarding his availability to the team he’s on doesn’t have anything to do with his philanthropic efforts. He’s always not playing for a reason whether it be: mental health, capital riots, vaccine shots, unexplained abscences, etc. that stuff isn’t related to his philanthropic efforts. If anything playing would help that cause.
More like he's a clown
Stephen A that was the best verbal spanking of accountability I have ever heard thanks.
"Kyrie is the best player at not working"
Ben Simmons: "I take that personally"
Lmaooooooo
I have to say Stephen A is 100 percent right about Kyrie. Imagine a coworker who always finds a reason not to come to work but still wants the same pay.
I'd say as long as you getting your pay thats none of your business and on the owner and GM that pays him to worry about.
@@agendaxpushers1322 Well if its doubling your work load which he should be doing wouldnt you be pissed?
Y'all weren't saying that when he bailed on his team by opting out of the vaxx when his whole team took it
He did get criticized for it
@@truthhurts131 how's it doubling SAS Work load??? Y'all have no reason to be pressed about what this man chose to do.
A friend of mine told me once, when we first met, that "I do what I want" is his motto. I told him to let me know how that works out for him later. 20 years later he has been in prison twice and is on his way back for his third and last trip. "I do what I want" didn't work out so well for him. He wanted more than he deserved, and eventually got what he earned.
Also… I respect load management… but, what Kyrie did is taking it a step further from what Greg Popvich was doing with the Spurs.
What Kyrie and Ben Simmons are doing is flat out time abuse. It would one thing to be doing a job you don’t love and feeling underpaid…. But, that’s clearly not the case. Anyone who takes Kyrie side on this is only enabling his behavior to get paid millions to do a job we all believe he actually loves.
Yet these clowns wanna disrespect Allen iverson? That man died in games..KI Skips out on em.. pathetic.
Ky barely skips out on games. Y'all over exaggerating. He missed cuz of mandates. And the one time last year where he took time off was only for 2 weeks. Let's not act like he left for months
@@puertoricanprince7690 exactly the media playing mind games with these people bro literally missed 2 weeks and skipped the bubble like many other players did, and missed time because of the vaccine.
@@puertoricanprince7690 aight I’ll give you the mandate.. but come on now…KI heart not in it bro…he’s not a killa…Holmes bounced from team to team in his prime and still ain’t produce 💩
It’s a lot to type but, SAS called out all the projected time off on his rant. I don’t agree with SAS half the time but, I think he’s spot on for this one.
Lebron is known for load management throughout his career for work related reasons. Those reasons were never these reasons… let alone fundamental follow up of play on the court. ( … and I’m no Lebron fan aka my Pacers suck this season LoL! )
I think SAS started taking personal shots because of the way Kyrie tweets were worded out. I still don’t agree with all the personals and name calling because at the end of the day… the Nets are way more highly projected team with big aspirations and star players… and they got swept. Fans deserve better… and Kyrie last 2-3-4 seasons have been under expectations.
Kyrie-Stephen A beef will never end
Stephen A really got it right this time..
Kyrie could do a better job maybe being clear and not so cryptic in what he says and posts so maybe his fans can get behind him but that’s not my place on what he should do
Stephen As philosophy is do whatever it takes to protect your job/money because that is what got you to this point of success(This is the 2000 gen mentality)
Kyrie’s philosophy is do whatever you feel is going protect your well being even if it may jeopardize your pay in the future or how your boss views you. (New generation “job is slavery mentality)
I understand both point of views but the main thing from all this is that we are witnessing the mentalities of two different generations bumping heads. Underneath all of this we can relate thats why its hard to disagree with everything both sides are saying.
Dude you nailed it. Its sad that people do not understand this and theyll agree with one perspective, and most of the time its gonna be whatever is on the media
NOT READING ALLAT 💀
Kyries is stupid because it goes against the definition of having a job lol especially one where you and your performance is essential to so many other people and entities.

Nah he was pretty calm about it
😂
I thought he was going to say some next level stuff about Kyrie, but he's just repeating the same stuff we've been hearing all along. This is weak.
"I'm gonna be calm when I say this, Key." Two minutes later: "YOU GOT SWEPT!!!!!! OTTA THE FIRST ROUND!!!!!!!"

Haha i was waiting since yesterday 🤣
80 of those games on the nets where he “didn’t show up to work,” he was injured which is out of a players control
Injury prone, Cleveland, Boston, and Brooklyn
Kyrie is speaking from a higher form of consciousness with a hint of conspiracy theory on the straw man fallacy. But this is THE WORST TIME to bring that up after getting swept in the playoffs. My Nets got stomped out at home and the whole organization is to blame. Plan for next season and shut up 🧐
"Higher form of consciousness" 😂😂😂
He is a dumb person who sssssssoooooooo desperately wants to be smart. People like that are always reaching.
Higher form of consciousness? Lol nah. He just smokes a lot of weed.

We all think SAS is obsessed with Kyrie. But he is doing good TV. He knows if he talks about Kyrie, people will watch.
But Kyrie straight up off the hindge!!
He was the same way at Duke. I'm not a big SA fan but he got this right. SAS said it he needs to be on no more than a one year contract at a time
