    Hey i got an offer letter from la trobe University City campus and queensland qut for masters in public health for July intake. According to you which one is the best uni to choose? And please let me know how to book accommodation without any reference before the arrival?

    • @ShivInSydney
      @ShivInSydney  3 месяца назад

      Heyy, tbh both the university are really good - what I would do is , go on their website and see the subjects they are offering in your course and see which aligns the best with your interests. Also see which university is giving you the best scholarship. Also check the job opportunities in that city for your field, that’s most important.
      On accommodation , if you want to book private accommodation you can check out websites like realestate.com or domain.com, for shared houses, there is website called as “flatmates” you can check that out, or you can go to your university website where they have university accommodation which has shared option as well, also Facebook marketplace is good one, people post ads for roommates.
      You can go through all these options and select whatever suits your budget😊

      Hey Fabiha,
      Usually, when you are studying in university here, some unis give you mid sem scholarship as well, if you have very high distinction or topped in your course for that SEM, but usually things and rules changes every year, I would suggest, UTS has student help desk, where you can check for the latest rules and eligibility criteria 😃

    Hello sir
    Good morning from india
    I have many questions right now but asking just one from here. I have got a offer letter from griffith university but it's unconditional and right now someone told me that it is very hard because they ask alot of documents is it correct and another thing i will be doing master of business majors in HRM will it worth there ? And lastly for accommodation can we find personal room for cheap rates costing around 200 to 300 in between?

    • @ShivInSydney
      @ShivInSydney  3 месяца назад

      Hey Udit,
      Assuming you mean it is conditional letter? Also, some universities do have some criteria where they ask additional questions just to see if the student is right fit or not. But not every university, in terms of documents mostly all the Australian universities ask for the same amount of documents. Do you have any agent hired?
      Also HRM is a good course, I would suggest, every state has a skilled occupation list which mention the demand of the occupation you can go and check there about HR, it will give you bit of clear view and you can also see which states has most demand and you can see if there any unis there as well.
      Talking about accomodation,
      Heyy if you want to book private accommodation you can check out websites like realestate.com or domain.com, for shared houses, there is website called as “flatmates” you can
      check that out, or you can go to your university website where they have university accommodation which has shared option as well, also Facebook marketplace is good one, people post ads for roommates.

      Hey Congratulations Bro!🥳
      Its a really good uni, I would suggest before confirming, check the subjects of your course and see if that is something your passion, also if you have applied to other uni, maybe you can wait for their response and see which uni gets you maximum scholarship if you want to, and if you have decided to go to UQ then I would say start looking for accommodation as well, the earlier you start, it will be less hassle. Also most of the unis have their own facebook groups maybe join that and you can get regular info and any other details, and start filing your visa first of all once you have confirmed the university. Hope this helps
      Good luck! 😊

    Hi Shiv, thanks for this information!!
    I’ve gotten into UTS for engineering management, do you think it’s worth it? Also one more question, everyone’s telling Sydney is much more expensive than any other city? If true, how does international student manage? It’ll be really helpful if you could answer this. Thank you in advance!!❤

    • @ShivInSydney
      @ShivInSydney  3 месяца назад +1

      Hey Apoorva- tbh! It is a very nice experience to get away from home country and try something different so its totally worth it from my side, and engineering is a very in demand sector here- not sure which field you are specialising in, what I would do is see which city is having a skill shortage for your field as they would need more people in that sector and that increases the demand for your job. Indeed sydney is expensive, and I have mentioned in the video as well how students are managing their day-to-day expense. Ofc you can pay off your bills comfortably, but yes you would need to know where you can save, for example like cooking your own food to save money from ordering food etc. smart Budgeting will be very crucial. So that will be my top tips.
      You can ask and check how much scholarship you can get from uts, just to ease the burden of tuition fees.😊

      Hey Adil,
      I believe as long as your documents are all correct and there is nothing alarming or missing, there shouldn’t be any problem with your visa, ofc I don’t have full visibility of your application, but ACU is a good uni, also public health is a really good course to study.
      Idk if you have any agent or not, but I would suggest consult and trusted agent like idp, they will know or flag if there will be any issue regrading getting your visa as they have inhouse migration agents who are experienced with handling legal issues or application regarding visa.

      Heyy, the scope of jobs are usually great here for public health and QUT is a very good university for masters, I would recommend, what you can do is- whichever university you are studying, make sure you are making connections on LinkedIn aggressively, from people working in your industry, and reach out to them, they would tell you better, and if you have good connections it would be helpful for your job search,😄
      But QUT is a very good uni to enroll in, I would suggest also do apply in other unis and see who is giving you max scholarships that can help you to reduce your tuition fees as well, 😊I hope this helps.

      i.e. from IT to CS like that.
      It's totally depends on uni.
      But the semester fees u paid is waist
      You have to take fresh admission.
      And later you have to apply visa accordingly before your completionrof course.

    Good video my daughter is planning for masters at Monash university in Tourism management after bachelor from India any suggestions??

    • @ShivInSydney
      @ShivInSydney  4 месяца назад

      Hello Ma’am, that’s great, good luck to your daughter.
      Firstly I would say monash university is one of the top ones in Australia so that’s a good edge. I would recommend, she should send follow request on LinkedIn to people who are actually working in this industry in Australia, they can tell her the actual truth about the industry, what’s the scope of getting job and PR, and also she can use that connection to get reference for her future job. I would say if she is still in her final year of bachelor’s then meanwhile the process is going on, she can do a internship in india in travel industry, to show as an experience here.
      But linkedin is her way to go, because here we don’t usually have placement in universities, we have to search our own jobs, so that’s why if we have people who we know are working in the same industry it definitely gives an edge, I got my full time industry job same way.
      I hope this helps, happy to help you with any more queries if there are 😊

      and this other pay calculator to account for superannuation: paycalculator.com.au/
      Agreed you can get a refund when you file for a tax return but that is not going to be 100% of the tax you have paid. I have mentioned in the video that the expenses (rent etc) is heavily dependent on one's lifestyle. These are approximate costs for example purposes only. It can vary depending on individual case but jab hum videos banate h we have to consider and calculate on average basis to cater all the students.
