    Lane keep assist is very cool. I have tested it a few times and amazing how well it works. Nice tech feature of the 2015 Acura TLX!

    Thanks for this review! We have this car and I didn't even know WHAT this feature meant in the car! Have to try it out!

      Like I said, it's not meant to be relied on for autonomous driving but is still a great feature - especially on long boring highway drives.

    Nice feature, I can't believe the Honda accord Europe model have had this for years. I guess is better late than never.

    Police officer: So, HOW did you run into that brick wall?
    Brian Chow: I was letting the car drive itself while I got my sun glasses.

    so the adaptive cruise control works in stop and go traffic? Between speeds of 0-50?

    • @aj9862
      @aj9862 8 лет назад +1

      No, it only works after 40km/h +. Also ACC stops at low speed. It's best at high way driving

      In the 2016 model at least, it works at any speed. The lowest speed you can set is 25, but it will still crawl and travel as low as 5mph

    please review 2016 Acura RDX Lane Keeping Assist System.

    • @EverydayReviews2022
      @EverydayReviews2022  8 лет назад +1

      I believe it's the same system in all the Acuras. The only thin that I don't like about the LKAS on Acuras is that it can only be activated when driving faster than 70km/h would be nice if it worked at lower speeds as well

    Amazing technology which is better than the German imports because BMW & Mercedes don't have the reliability that Acura possesses.

    IMO the dash shouldn't look like that for a car that's worth close to 50k. Acura could've done better 😏

    I got the same car but this feature does not work probably on my car like for example I’ll try 10 times To activate these feature so it works one or two times only I don’t know what the hell wrong with it

    • @islael123
      @islael123 5 лет назад

      It only works at a certain speed. I found out with mine because I was having the same problem. It will only activate at about 50 MPH. So it's for use on the highway.

    • @Henesseyjones
      @Henesseyjones 5 лет назад

      You have to press the "main" button to activate the lkas then press the "lane assist button" It will activate even if you're stopped but only truly works at about 40+ mph

    If you drop your glasses and immediately go to grab it you shouldn't be driving

    • @blutsx
      @blutsx 9 лет назад

      Brenton Rodriquez I agree, this is what I kept thinking in my head. If the glasses are far enough that you cannot reach them with hands off the wheel, then stop, and then pick them up.

    • @bril2231
      @bril2231 9 лет назад

      exactly! this is the kind of senseless idiots that just piss me off.

    • @EverydayReviews2022
      @EverydayReviews2022  9 лет назад +7

      Brenton Rodriquez Easy now, its only an example, perhaps a bad one. Just use your imagination, I'm sure you've taken your eyes off the road for a second, that's what its for. You don't have to have your hands off the wheel for it to work, it was a demonstration.

    • @davidshi123
      @davidshi123 9 лет назад +3

      Brenton Rodriquez No one's advocating that you should take your eyes off the road to reach for an object that you dropped on the ground. He's just showing an example of something potentially stupid that one could do that would cause an accident, and how the car would help with that situation.

    • @bW9taeH4
      @bW9taeH4 9 лет назад +1

      Brenton Rodriquez If you drop your glasses and can't see the road without them, then you are better off taking your eyes off the road for a second in a car that keeps its following distance automatically and can brake faster than is humanly possible than to drive without glasses.
      Nobody is advocating dropping glasses and in real life it's very unlikely that glasses will fall off somebody's face. It might happen on a roller coaster or while skiing, but if it did somehow happen unexpectedly, neither one of us knows the specific situation or driver and it's impossible to tell the safest course of action for an unknown situation.
      What you are missing here is something called real life. People do stupid things all the time. People take their eyes off the road all the time. I'm not advocating it, but I'd rather see "the other guy" in a TLX with this feature than in a car without it. I'd rather see you in a car with it than without it. Frankly, I don't know you but I do know that just because a person says he will stick to his diet doesn't mean he will and just because a person advocates driving safely doesn't mean he will.
      I'm in my mid 50s and have never had a chargeable accident. That doesn't mean I don't need these features. It's quite the opposite. I want every bit of added safety I can get.

    If I drop my sun glasses, believe me the sun glasses can wait. This safety feature is pointless, I have MDX 2014 advance technology and I only used once

    • @EverydayReviews2022
      @EverydayReviews2022  7 лет назад +6

      +Mo. Jelle Once is all it takes if it can save a life. Don't you hope that some one dozing off in incoming traffic would have technology like this instead of crossing the Center line and hitting you head on. It only takes once. Defiantly not pointless in my opinion.

    I dont see the safety in this as there are entirely too many lazy drivers NOW!!....Texting, eating and just plain lack of focus. For you all to atempt to sell a feature like this to lazy America is irresponsible!!

    • @Reviews-witha-view
      @Reviews-witha-view 6 лет назад

      every dealership and salesman tell their customers that they should NOT completely rely on these systems. these systems are ABSOLUTELY used for safety. these systems are meant to help you be a safer driver reduce fatal crashes or stop an accident from even happening. untill you drive a car with ( Acura's L.K.A.S. lane keeping assist system, Toyota's LDWS lane departure warning system with steer assist.) or even forward collision mitigation blind spot monitoring system pedestrian detection and adaptive cruise or radar cruise. they are all used together help avoid crashes. this car has apple and android auto so you can connect your phone and you dont even have to look at it your whole drive. and im sure that everybody has gotten hungry on a road trip somewhere. ive taken many cross country trips with my 06 acura tl 6 speed manual and damn right i got hungry. i only wished my car had these features. it would have been very convenient. because you never know whats gonna happen in front of you or next to you. i would love to have adaptive cruise because although regular curise control is great atleast with adaptive cruise if somebody cuts in front of you while your changing the radio or just looking the other way to get into a different lane the system will slow you down. or for all the jerks out there that dont understand the concept of a BLINKER, TURN SIGNAL OR WHAT EVER YOU WANNA CALL IT seems how they clearly dont know how to use it. the lane departure warning wll call you out on your shit and say HEY ARE YOU TRYING TO SWITCH LANES. BECAUSE IF SO USE A BLINKER OR ELSE I WONT ALLOW IT I WILL STEER YOU BACK IN YOUR LANE AND BEEP AT YOU.

    bah....doesnt even have slow follow... the system dis-engages at lower speeds... old outdated ACC technology.
