    very helpful overview. My wife and I run a small food vending business we set up at festivals and farmers market. I'm not sure if we want to grow big and sell our recipes in grocery stores, but it's an interesting thought.

    Hello, I'm in the infant stages of a seasoning business. If you use a copacker are you required to still obtain a department of agriculture license?

    I have a retail bakery for the past 13 years and am ready to exit but not without leaving my mark. I have delicious products and think they would be successful - we ship all over now and our community knows us - just don’t know how to get co packing going - any help appreciated !

    My 11 year old daughter wants to start a chocolate business using Shopify as the e-commerce way to sell. I am researching to see the different full service co packer/white label companies. Is there a list of companies that specialize in chocolate?

    • @FoodBizSuccess
      @FoodBizSuccess  3 года назад +1

      that's exciting! If you just want a private label chocolate, I would reach out to other chocolate makers and inquire with them. There are a number of other great copacking resources out there as well through google searches. Also, come to my upcoming workshop to get all the full roadmap www.foodbizsuccess.com/start

    Will working with an out-of-state co-packer work? I can’t seem to find a co-packer capable of doing the technology I need within our state.

    • @FoodBizSuccess
      @FoodBizSuccess  3 года назад +1

      yes, it is common and likely to have an out of state copacker

    wonderful and very great video. thank you very much. And yes I do have a question. Do the copackers provide compensation incase they damage your product? i.e. you order a thousand jar of sauce but those jars are poorly made which definitely damage your recipe which will make loose money and time, so would they compensate for that?

    • @FoodBizSuccess
      @FoodBizSuccess  3 года назад +1

      great question. It is important that your contract spell out how to resolve issues like this and who is responsible
