I went solo travelling to Egypt as a 28 year old woman and it was amazing. I did Luxor, Hurghada and Cairo. But maybe it helps that I look and speak Arabic because I’m North African.

hey hey, if you do love animals and are against animal cruelty, don't go on camel tours. It's not about your comfort while sitting on the animal. It's about riding animals like camels and horses who are completely mistreated, skinny, and suffering under strong heat. Peace&Love

Eeesssh as a single woman traveller, what I gather from this video is “Don’t go to Egypt.” 🤣 I made the mistake recently of going to the Eiffel Tower at 1:30am to see it lit up and THAT was a mistake given all the gross cat calling I experienced. I felt like a piece of meat that got dropped into a pool filled with piranhas and it took me the whole next day to shake that off. I love that your videos are direct and super informative! Had a dream to enhance and improve the tourists experience in Egypt given the fact of its enormous historical attractions but it is still away from reality because of what you said.

I am a solo female traveler who has been all over the globe but I've always been hesitant to venture out to Egypt and Morocco because of the perceived safety risks. Egypt is a must see for me so I purchased tickets for my mother and myself for November 2023. My mother watched your video in preparation to our trip and she recommended that I watch your video. I am so glad that I did. Thank you very much. Egypt sounds like it will be much more of a challenge to maneuver through than Turkey and UAE (Dubai) which was relatively easy and friendly. If you have any recommendations for a tour guide in Cairo, please advise. We will do a Nile Cruise, still trying to figure out which one, because it's inclusive of tours , etc and it seems to be less of a hassle than organizing it myself. Thank you again.

Malika appreciate your information and advise. Husband & I are booked for Egypt tour late Sept to early Oct 2023. I have been reading many many many comments from men and women regarding their experiences visiting Egypt. I heard your advise
re: what to avoid while in Egypt.
My spouse had bad vibes trying to apply for E-visa today and decided to get visa on arrival to Cairo.
You're not the 1st female I read commenting about catcalls, feeling undressed by the local males from a visitors perspective.
Majority of your observation matches other females experiences. Appreciate your honesty because I will take heed of your advise and inform my husb to view it. We both have done our homework hopefully enough to prepare us to enjoy our visit to Egypt--> dress cool & conservative, avoid eye contact if possible, prepare to tip, bring our own toilet paper, avoid ETOH. I had bad experience riding donkey in heat in Mexico so I'm scared of camel ride. We are joining tour group. Just want to visit and enjoy the history of this nation. Bless you!

You have to be careful with the water, If you drink it you will return to Egypt is how the saying goes ;) . If you are going to Cairo expecting a European feel then you will be disappointed. People who are well cultured and curious about other cultures usually get on well in Egypt and will tell you Egyptians are very kind and hospitable. however, if you are the narrow minded type, Islamophobic, or a feminist it would not be for you. If one imposes western norms such as I.e dressing inappropriately then you will be sending the wrong message to the conservative majority there. Having said that many tourists don't bother going to the nicer parts of Cairo where you will find a different social class all together. I hope you enjoy. There are parts of Egypt such as the beautiful Sharm el Sheikh red sea resorts which has a great night life, expat community and young tourist from different parts of Europe. Everyone drinks and parties there every day yet it is very chilled in comparison to Cairo or even Alex. You can wear pretty much what you want and walk around in a bikini. No one will bother you or try to scam you. Advice from a well traveled Egyptian.

yes. when in egypt, be sure to stay in busy highly populated cities. in the outer lying areas its risky because the egyptians communities do whatever they want to anyone, especially to foreigners and they can act very uncivil. a female alone in egypt is a huge target to all the men there. i lived there for many months and lived within different communities. cairo was the better of them, a very busy place till late at night. its a little more expensive than your small cities but loads of shops everywhere for food and durable goods.

Exactly, the saddest thing is, a lot of people have high expectations from a country that main enemies are poverty, lack of education and corruption. They go unprepared and without researching what is legal and what isn’t, what is appropriate and what isn’t , what to be expected when you’re there and then you see a lot of DO NOT VISIT EGYPT as videos titles and headers. Eg. The photography and video shooting without permission or in public places. They don’t get that this poor country up until 2016 , terrorists would go shoot places that are super crowded and few days later they get a report that the ppl spotted a black garbage bag that turns out to be explosives. It’s not technically prohibited but it can be worrisome to police officers and unfortunately sometimes others try to get a bribe to let you off which again corruption and poverty are the reason for it.
Also the fact that a lot of ppl are saying that you have to haggle. The thing is they set it high for 2 reasons. First thing is that they KNOW that someone will negotiate to the point they may not make profit from it, and the other reason it, when a local buys the items they won’t afford to pay lets say a 100egp for a scarf when for the tourist is like 3.2eur. So they would usually sell it for the local for 60 and for the tourist for 100 to make up for the local prices . Because unfortunately most ppl are paid like 1500 egp to 2000 egp a month which is around 50-70 eur which is not enough to last them half of the month. So usually when I’m there I always like try to tip workers with generous tips and don’t haggle because even without haggling it’s still like 3times cheaper than if I would buy it from home or somewhere in Europe.
I'm not saying not to haggle or negotiate, but if you feel like the item is already way cheaper than what you would pay for it anywhere else then try not to lower it too much. and I'm not saying give in to beggars because they are actually scammers. real poor ppl would try to sell you something, anything but they won't accept free money. scammers would tho.
Also I'm totally with agreeing on certain prices before hand and negotiations with those ppl that offer camel and horses rides and other things of these sort. because they can be scammers .

Hello,🌷🌼🌻 May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED."
God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
