I actually really enjoy the light as a backup when I’m on CCR cave dives. Yes it’s a little big as a backup for my can light, but I enjoy that because I can find it quickly. Also I think it would be perfect for new divers since they could own a great quality light for about 150 bucks that could grow with their diving experience and open the doors into wreck and night.

Like it. Nice to see a bit of honesty without the suck ass you get from other sponsored or previously sponsored channels.

I can’t focus on the light! What is that rainbow thing on your lip?

Computer opposite inflator hose, unless you have backup on opposite arm of primary. I am using CX2 as my primary light for night dive in lake and quarry. It is a lot better than the UK SL4 (non-led version). Though I did mod it with XM-L2 for back up. The SL4 is still the most awkward light to hold.

Dive rite built it for a goodman handle. Reason it has the qrm. Hard to complain about the battery when it takes both. Last longer than similar bigblue, kraken, etc. Also, the light fits where lights should be stored in your tec shorts 🤣🤣 which isn’t in the zipper pouch.

Size does indeed matter. Great video!

Your computer should be on your right arm, *NOT* on your left arm. That way, not only would it not compete for space with your torch, but would also enable you to watch your depth as you're venting during your ascents - which is *A MUST.* Happy diving.

I think 21700s are the new standard for this kind of single battery flashlight. You get 50% more capacity for a pretty negligible increase in size. I'm sure all vape stores carry them. The Sofirn SD05 came out in 2019 and uses them.

What light(s) do you prefer for using as the primary light on a night dive in Florida/Caribbean?

That 3D printed goodman handle lmao. I'm surprised dive rite makes something that flimsy and cheap.
I like the DGX lights. Cheap, compact, bulletproof, button or twist, 1 or 2 battery version, 8° spot or flood. It doesn't have a battery indicator but swap batteries between dives and it wont be a problem or get the DGX800 (Mines never died). Battery indicator is also another point of failure to flood the light.

Hit me up if you'd like to donate that CX2 to my operations as I help recover lost items for the people of the PNW. I will put it to good use as I already have the Dive Rite soft goodman QRM system. 🤣 Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

I had maglite ... it was piece of crap. Better to get a chinese light than a maglite. It's wrongly designed. Electronics is cheap and do not last long. It don't even light correctly, lumen are pretty low (maybe it's better with led now, but during the early 2000, it was really bad) x)
My dream about light, is a light where there is a single mode (ON or OFF), with good lumen (so LED). And a good angle of lighting, even more important in cave, to have one light who light all the surrounding, bouncing on the wall. Like a led panel or something like that. With a lithium battery because i don't want alcaline & rechargeable battery.
And i HATE all those light with 10 different light mode ! I just want to turn it ON !
By the way, you didn't did mistake by buying it. It's complicated to shop a light. The only way is to test it before buying it. And good luck with that.
I've a volador dive light. I like it but it's a 3 Mode light. I hate that mode.
