For me, that is the difference between a regular shonen and Hajime no Ippo. You don't have backup, you don't have powers, you have nothing but your skills, your grit and your balls going in the ring. Your coach can tell you one thing or two and help with injuries between rounds. But other then that, you have nothing but your two fists. You can't throw a bazillion punches left and right. All it need is that one punch and the best defense you can muster. And in the end, its not about killing your opponent, its about besting them. A true show of skill and grit. Luck as nothing to do with it.
I just finnished Hajime no Ippo, 10/10 i would reccomend it to EVERYONE. Plot is amazing, arcs are amaizing, characters and character development is AMAZING. 10/10 i hope season 4 comes out soon
