@adamb84and just to be clear, if you do run the car while that's going on, it's not really going to affect the battery at all right? Or seemingly not. In fact that you know, maybe it might take a little bit of its life, but nothing you would notice I'm guessing.

@@RiverRats-sx1lq Yes, I plugged it into the cigarette outlet in my Travel Trailer bedroom, used velcro to stick it to the wall, and it powers our TV and also our TV box and Hotspot. TV is 150w, new 40" from Walmart. Works a dream when we are dry camping

Ebay lists several inverters that claim to be pure sine wave but at the same time say modified sine wave in the description. Read the fine print if this matters to your application. I want to run my modem and router this way during power outages and have been advise to get pure sine wave.
The video description is great! This kind of voltage conversion adapter is still necessary. I bought this elecdeer brand not long ago. After using it for a while, it feels very convenient and good. Everyone can spare one.

I'd love to see him try to game on it. Once the GPU on that Xbox ramps up, the fuse for his Cigarette lighter plug is gonna pop. They're usually only good for 10-15 amps. In most vehicles.
I doubt this inverter will be able to provide more than 150 to 180 watts connected in the way shown. It would need to be connected directly to the battery with a suitable fuse to provide the rated power out put. It probably explains this in the instructions that came with it.
Yea I got a 175 one and it turns on and even plays my series for like 2 min then crashes. So I just saved and bought a 6000 watt inverter. Just gotta get installed now. Finna have a big 55 inch in my van lmao lamps and shit 😭 I'ma be good now!

@@Mike-tm2tx not sure what you mean by how long does it last? If your TV requires 120vac then yes it can support that if need be. I use mine daily and it’s still working fine.

Check your car lighter fuse. Most modern cars use 10amp fuse, change it to 25amp.
@@Supremaque fuses exist to protect wiring, not to be annoying. Replacing the fuse without replacing the wiring is a fire hazard and can cause the wiring to melt/short

Youre not getting 300 watts thru a cigarette lighter. Eventually that loud noise indicating a low voltage on your inverter had to have come on.
Right I'm pretty sure you have to hook it directly to the battery to get the full 300 watts

You're wrong. Car lighters can deliver 150W. If you need the full 300W you need to hook it directly to your battery!
You maybe correct about the car lighter delivering 150w but this device don’t have the terminals to allow you to hook to batteries
@@KOMOSTECH I ran #10 wires to Anderson plugs from my fuse box. But for a laptop charger or CPAP machine this inverter should do alright with the stock plug.. Just keep an eye on the plug to make sure it doesn't get too hot. Thanks for posting.

@@KOMOSTECH long story short 300w is the max and that would be 25amp from a 12v socket which majority of vehicles only do up to 10amps maybe 15amps (trucks)
The TV and Xbox combine simply isn't using above what your vehicle is rated for but its certainly not 300w but there is an adapter you can buy to max it out which this one didn't come with like most others.
my cigarette lighter fuse is 20amps. 14volts x 20 amps = 280 watts. personally i doubt the xbox was able to actually do more than boot and sit at the dash. i was wrong, the first xbox one: 70-120 watts, the xbox one s (in the video) 35-90 watts, the one x 65-180 watts. add the approx 30 watts for the tv and he's only sitting at about 140 watts. it looks like he is a truck driver, maybe they have larger fuses on top of it all. also, someone needs to say this: we dont know the efficiency of the inverter. my last junk inverter, not the one in the video btw) that plugged into the cigarette lighter consumed 190 watts dc to make 140 watts ac, about 70% efficient lol. i have a much bigger inverter that is 95% up to about 4k which is all the battery power i could provide at the time, but i digress

MOST MODERN CARS CAN ONLY PROVIDE 120W OUTPUT, SO DONT USE THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT TO CHANGE COUPLE OF FUSES AND WIRING IF YOU ALTER THE FUSE.

The jumper cables are simply an alternative to the 12v plug.
In some inverters the 12v plug is regulated internally, while the jumper cables can be used to draw more power.

I have one question. I have the 300 and 500 watts version. Straight out the box.both units sounds as if something inside is loose near the fan area. When unit is off and I pick up and tilt or shake the unit I can hear a loose component sound.. Have you noticed this in your unit?

I can’t believe how many people don’t understand that you are draining the battery. Do we really not understand this concept. The inverter is not creating the power, it is converting it. If you don’t charge the damn battery it WILL die. Better check those amps and watts too. They kinda matter. A LOT.

I bought this just tried it out and honestly I have to say it was garbage why because it said 300 W pure sine wave add 120 V AC with 700 W surge is what the marketing boys say well here's the reality I tested this unit and it only put out a hundred and nine volts ac and it wouldn't even power up my television and my television is a 46 inch LED TV and runs at 186 Watts this unit was returned
