Great video Kenh and a good looking system. Can I suggest that the trees near your solar panels are trimmed back? Dave Jones of the EEVBlog channel showed that even a thin antenna shadow reduced the amount of power the panels could provide by a large amount. Thanks you for all the great videos!

He does have the space to really improve his solar output. This is a good start.
I think his house has solar on it as well from another video.
If you go to the start of this video and you see where the solar is, his house the the one directly above it. I am pretty sure that is the correct one because of the way you get in to the ground floor shop there.
I think that solar is on the other side of the roof on that house. Though I would need to go back and watch that video again.

Hi Sir I would like to ask the Battery is already included in the inverter right?
I pay .11 for a kwh, and the electric company pays me .034 when I send one back. I get away with not having batteries by having 3 households on one electric bill. I have 18kw of panels, but during summer and winter, very little power goes back to the electric company. Instead, the other two households are using that power, effectively paying me the same .11 per kwh. Billing agreement is such that I don't pay anything at all, and my data shows I am lowering their bills by roughly $50 per month even after you consider my own nighttime/cloudy day consumption.
Doesn't do anything for me after a storm, but ROI on batteries when I effectively don't have an electric bill is not good.
Did you buy your system out right or did you do some solar company loan thing?
The only thing that sucks with grid tied solar is that they do not offer you any power when the grid is down. Now there are a few all in one inverters that offer like a 2kwh outlet plug with grid tied inverters. You would have to check with Sunny Boy is the only big name system that I know of that is certified. Now there are other all in one inverters that now have certified units that are off grid yet also work as grid tied that you can use the system with no power as long as you have a battery bank.
There is one model that I do not think is certified that can be 100% solar only and or solar, battery, grid. meaning that you can use just solar only while in a single stack configuration. I have been looking for an inverter that allows you to add just enough battery to power the inverter and not power loads so that it could be used in a battery less function stacked as many times as the system will allow for just solar only use to sell back to the grid and power the home as well.
@@kameljoe21 It was all diy. I have string inverters, micro inverters, and a hybrid. I've been expanding in fits and starts for 2 years now.
The micro inverters are great for panels that give me a ground fault on a string inverter. The hybrid gives me a way to add batteries and use a gas generator if the grid goes down, I just won't be able to stand up a micro grid for the other two households.

How much was your cost, cause in Canada for 2 x 350 watts the cost is in the tune of 20,000$ canadian.
In India u can get 2*350w solar panel at 340 $
Pretty sure Canadian panels do not cost 20k. You should be able to buy 350 watts panels for like 3 to 500 CA.
