this whole album makes you feel like you don't know if u will play the songs again cause they're way too unique, but once you get used to them you realize that this record is banger after banger. gaga really did her big one w artpop

Venus is a song you learn to love hahahah at first it sounds awkward, but then you love it hahah
Gaga said kicked all the men out of the studio and produced this one herself 🤣 It's a song about the goddess of love Venus/Aphrodite. ARTPOP as an album is loud, eclectic, and a little bit experimental. I fricken love this album! It takes a while to get used to... the songs themselves and the album as a whole. Every song is so different to the next. She really said fuck it, these don't go together like a cohesive album but I can do what I want. To quote Gaga "fuck you pop music, this is ARTPOP ... my ARTPOP could mean anything"

I’ll never forget listening to this album for the first time. Opening the album with Aura and everything that followed.. One of her best idc.
@theloneliestloveliesttime I remember when Aura leaked (when it was called Burqa and Gaga leaked it herself under the name Boris). Everyone was SO excited because there had been so many fake leaks but this one was undoubtedly HER voice. Then getting up in the early hours of the morning to watch the livestream of the iTunes Festival and hearing all the other songs for the first time 😭 it was such a magical time

Venus is one of my faves from Artpop, it's so GOOD
I think the contrast between all the sections of the song are what makes it so fun. Also the way it paints the picture of this intergalactic love odyssey. I feel like changing anything would make it less effective at what it’s trying to do.

This is on her album Artpop, designed to be exactly that, Art and Pop. something creative and different but poppy, clean and upbeat at the same time.

I agree this song has massive 80s Glam-Rock influences and modern Edm.
IMO Venus is best experienced in ARTPOP order, smack dab between Aura & G.U.Y. The whole album is an experience.

This song was 100% produced, engineered and written by Gaga. It's as crazy as her and became a timeless classic, but indeed. It's different. Unique. Dancing to this song live was probably the best experience of my life.
The song had 5 other writers, 2 mixing engineers and 1 mastering engineer. Doesn’t take away her talent at all but to say she did this whole song including the engineering by herself is just incorrect and takes away from the hard work of everyone involved.

Looking into old interviews, it's said by Gaga and all other producers of ARTPOP that she basically produced Venus alone with a slightly help from Madeon only. A quick "Did Lady Gaga produced Venus alone" google search comes up with a "YES" and explanation from AI and links. Also websites like Genius credits Lady Gaga only while wikipedia states all the above. However, you are right, if there was so many writers and producers they deserve the credits too and yessss this song live was fireeeeee!! Please keep doing these reviews, we are loving it. And Also, dropping your own music as well!! They are fireeeeeeeee!!! You are very talented yourself.

You should check out the live version of this song if you have time. I didn't really liked it a first, but when i saw it live, it was completely different, the instrumental sounded way more rock, it was nothing like the track on the album.
