    I use to work on the phones, and at first, bad abusive callers were disconnected, but then it became industry standard not to, but now again if someone is screaming and shouting, and a manager can't take over, thank god we can ditch the call.

    • @AirlineInsiderHub1

      Sometimes they can be very abusive. On my end, we cannot ditch the call unless they are using profanity and have been warned several times. It sucks but the pay is good

    It's always been a bit of a dream of mine to be able to work for an airline. Being a reservation agent is something I haven't heard of much before, but seeing this video makes me very interested in applying. Do you have any tips or advice for what I should put in my resume/application? I don't have any airline experience but loads of varied customer service experience. Thank you, and thank you for this video!

      The best thing I can advise is to make sure the customer is always right and do your absolute best to take care of the customer. Working for an airline for the years that I have, it is always hammered in your heads that we help the customers no matter what the situation.

    Hey, I start next Monday for reservations in office. How was the training for you and after training how did the scheduling work ?

    • @AirlineInsiderHub1
      @AirlineInsiderHub1  2 года назад +1

      Hello! Training was very informative took about six weeks. Now that they want warm bodies taking calls with the number of people flying again after Covid, it is significantly reduced. With the company I work for, scheduling is based on seniority. They will have so many shifts to chose from and you will bid for what you want. If someone with more seniority wants it you will get your next choice. Good luck it is a very rewarding job, flying for free is great too 😉

    I have my interview for reservations tomorrow ! I’m most nervous about the code test I haven’t been in aviation for about 2 years now so I’ve forgotten a lot of them and trying to study etc but me memorizing codes sometimes suck 😩😩😩 any advice? Does anyone know if the test has a lot of international codes etc etc

    • @AirlineInsiderHub1
      @AirlineInsiderHub1  3 года назад +1

      Hello Yass Yoni, good luck with your interview tomorrow. That’s the hardest part remembering the airport codes, they stress that so much because with just one mistake you can send a passenger around the world. For example most people mistake SLC which is Salt Lake City in the USA and SCL which is Arturo Merino Benitez in Chile 😂. I have my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏿
