Remember that Netanyahu won two years ago the election, but Gantz, Lieberman, Bennett and Lapid didn't love Israel more tha they hate Netanyahu, thus evading a majorty with him. Instead they built a coalition with the Arab party, knowing some of them were outspoken enemies of the state. What happend? Bennetts goverment colapsed after short time misrably and new Elections were necessary, the 5th one! Netanyahu and the right won and built todays government. Gantz and Co. in the opposition. And now? There has to be more to the story than this. So many practice runs by Hamas going completely unnoticed, structures to replicate Israeli homes, transport and stashing of weapons, build-up of vehicles and reports by observers going unheeded.
This is clearly & obviously far more than gross incompetence.
Everyone new! Even the civilians from Gaza ( women and kids)! They needed a reason to invade and blow the tunnels. They knew about the tunnels as they knew where the 4 hostages were. The “ greater good” includes some civilians losses. Now some say that Israel must build “ again” new settlements inside Gaza. Is that for real? Where was the Gaza division during the attack? 🇳🇮✡️🇳🇮🎗️🎗️🎗️
America knew- America also said they didn’t think the capability to carry out the plan was there. So 2 massive intelligence agencies believed the same thing. There’s a plan - without means of seeing it to its end.
And both intelligence agencies were woefully wrong.
Human mistakes happen. Sadly some cost many lives.
9/11 was a known plan- and America didn’t think it a possible reality. America was wrong. And hundreds of thousands have gone on to die, are still dying, are displaced about the entire globe, … mistakes happen. Some are deadlier than others but when it’s defense of nations any failure will see loss of lives. It’s a tragedy yes, and a mistake and much should be learned about underestimating a very determined psychopathic opponent with a blood lusting soul.
Many of us wondered even on day one, why it took the IDF *so long* to come to the rescue.

Why was this detailed intelligence ignored?!?!?!
It was on purpose. The simple answer Is the one that fits the facts
But, the history of fixed fortifications suggests they will eventually be breached: hence the real problem is what's on the other side of them.
Intelligence error? Israel must seriously investigate and take the painful, remedial actions in this issue. Too relaxed or deliberate act to ignore the report?
In defense of nations , mistakes will happen. The important lesson to take away is how to make sure this can never happen again. But make no mistake, the IDf, like all earthly militaries are humans and humans make mistakes.
I will not stand in judgement of Israel. America knew of the plans and also didn’t think they could do it.
The sane world knows Irans plan but doesn’t believe Iran capable of nuclear war- yet.
Investigate- repair - and do better. That’s all anyone can ask.

Had Octubre 7th not happened, Israel wouldn't have known all that was behind it. Events can be mixed blessings. I know the kidnsap of innocent people shouldn't be seen as such, but Israel now knows it is not alone. As a friend standing with of Israel I want to say this: There is no alternative for doing your job when being warned. No new security policy is needed. A new security policy won't help if all warnings are being or will be ignored. There isn't really an alternative for common sense. May the Holy One of Israel bless Israel, giving grace to face an ugly truth, making the changes needed and empowering her to be victorious everywhere she'll go, being bold and fast as a lion.
