Both Messi and Ronaldo are greats of this game. But when it comes to the GOAT debate, everyone who loves football knows that Messi is a level above any other player. Well, stats do prove it but when you yourself see them play with your bare eyes, you can see the difference. Ronaldo is a top goalscorer but Messi affects the game in many different ways. He is a playmaker, he can score, assist, can create chances.
Also, all of it doesn't not take anything from CR7's legacy. It's just unfortunate for him that he is playing in the same era as Messi. There can be multiple great players in an era but only one GOAT. The difference between Ronaldo and the 3rd best player in last decade is literally huge which shows how great he is.
Maradona and Pele was better than Ronaldo.. Ronaldo had a longer career that’s it, but Maradona and Pele was kicked way more often.
