I find this to be the most underrated subway system in the USA. I'm glad you got some footage on this system. Great video, new subscriber from Jersey City, New Jersey, USA.

Thank you! I enjoyed taking a look around this system - it is pretty good, a nice smooth ride and easy to use. They need to build a couple of more lines like this to serve other parts of the city.

@@MetropolitanStudiosLondon Logically, an extension should be built to where both stadiums are. As it stands, the closest subway station is Charles Center; about a 15 minute walk.

The trains reach very high speed on this route. Apparently it’s the fastest rapid transit system in the country, which trains going up to 70 miles an hour

These Budd trains entered service on the same year the Budd trains for Miami’s Metrorail entered service. The Budd trains in Miami have since been retired.

It's incredible how much the Baltimore metropolitan area underutilizes this railway, just seas of parking lots, single family homes, and low value land uses in general around most of the stations.
Instead of trying to entice people to drive and park to use a 15 mile stretch of subway they should focus more on improving the places it goes to, with improved bus service to these stations, better pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, and MUCH more transit oriented developement.
Baltimore is not wealthy, it should do a better job of using the resources it has.

In London there is a LOT of transit-orientated development; so much so that it's often impossible to get on the trains. Let's hope that Baltimore does a better job of it. The subway stations could be a good focus for apartments, giving people easy access to jobs downtown.

I hear there might be some transit oriented development around Owings Mills, but I’m not too sure.

@@HIDLad001 you should go on Google maps and see just how auto-oriented the space around "Metro Centre at Owings Mills" truly is, it's incredibly half hearted TOD (if at least better than nothing)

@Dan Zena That actually sounds terrifying, to be the only one? Oh, hell no. Haha. I think they made a scary movie about that. Lol
But yeah, that's what a lot of people around here say too, since I've asked about it. It just amazes me how there's not a homeless or drug epidemic going on down there with the way the majority of Baltimore is today.
