    What size/weight is the thread?

    • @ChainStitchEmbroidery

      I'm not sure exactly what size it is it may be similar to a number 12 thread. It's about 3 or 4 times thicker than a regular sewing thread

    Hi! Thank you for making these videos. These resources are so few and far between. I found your video on stitch adjustment especially helpful.
    I have a consew at my work. It's permanently stuck on a long stitch length, and the screw adjustment does not affect the stitch length in either direction.
    I tried your range adjustment on the piece that you call the 'nose'. (My manual says this part is called a 'feed lever', and the part it sits in is called a 'feed lever bracket'). However, it seems like the mechanisms need that full range to make a complete stitch. When I try to lower the range to make smaller stitches, the machine gets stuck and won't complete a stitch.
    Do you have any advice? I would absolutely be willing to pay for your time to help me troubleshoot, whatever that would look like.

      Also there is a screw behind the nose that is normally in a slot. your screw may be really tight.

    How do you manage to sew without holding on to the patch?
    This is awesome 😍

      Since the machine feeds in 360° directions one does not have to hold the fabric the foot drives the fabric. These machines are definitely loads of fun!

      The Mauzer King or Mauzer Dollar machines are both great you want to stay with the basic machine that does chain stitch and Moss Stitch. Mauzer machines are very reasonably priced and great quality please contact them through Instagram or Facebook

    Hi there! Where did you get your machine?

    • @ChainStitchEmbroidery
      @ChainStitchEmbroidery  Год назад

      This was a vintage machine, but you can buy very nice new machines from Mauzer International. Here's a link

    In your opinion which machine is better Mautzer, Singer ,Cornely or this Consew?

    • @ChainStitchEmbroidery
      @ChainStitchEmbroidery  Год назад +1

      There is no right answer to this question. Vintage machines are made from a higher quality of metal then can be found today. However some older machines can have significant wear. So it really depends on each individual machine and what the person is looking for. Mauzer is definitely a great deal for a great machine at a great price. And I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Mauzer!
