Personally, I counted those 5 bay leaves at 8. You are right, she cooks according to the art of cooking tasty food, rather than the formula of a recipe. It is tough when you cannot publish any video without one of us CRITICS pointing to something to disagree with, isn't it? I love your videos and support the classy way you do your videos. I just enjoy pulling your chain, I can only do it with people I like.
Sounds so good. Will y’all adopt me please 😊. I would be a great addition to the farm. 😆I’m only 62 years old. All funning aside God bless you and your beautiful wife and family. Sandra I love you hair cut. 🙋🏻♀️♥️🇺🇸
MORE COOKING PLEASE! What's your favorite way to eat rabbit? How do you cook an old hen? What's your favorite lamb/pig/beef recipes? I love a stewed coney! Chicken Marengo is a go to...but pressure canning is a never fail. Moroccan Lamb Stew...oh I can't wait till mine hit the ground and grow up big enough to eat! We're raising Katahdins. Farm to table! Yes. More!
I hope you two have a fantastic Thanksgiving. I think I will try your recipe at Christmas My turkey is bathing right now I like trying different recipes. Be blessed and stay safe
Happy Thanksgiving, God bless you and family. My granny used to brine things in big stone jars. She pushed the item down in the brine and then sit a dinner plate on it with a quart jar of water on the plate. That kept all parts of whatever was in the jar in the brine.
Looks good! I use oranges too but I also zest the peel of each. There is so much flavor in the peel. Compliments the 2 cups of bourbon and brown sugar well too. 😉
Thank you ....I have a collection of brine recipes and this one is a keeper.....plan to use it for the Christmas turkey. Do you think it would be good for a goose??? Blessed Thanksgiving!
That looks like you're going to have one giant and delicious Thanksgiving turkey tomorrow. What time should my wife and I swing by? LOL Take care and God Bless. PS: Sorry, I just saw that my wife has a bird in the brine as well, so I guess we can't make it over tomorrow. ;-)
I went to my mom's house at 5 am to broil a turkey, got everything ready, got in oven went out to work on my truck, went to check on turkey 3hrs later, and to my shock saw it looked like when i removed it from the bag, found out I set tge oven to 100 degrees,😢😢😢😢
I love Sondra’s sweet voice and gentle manner.

Thanks for the recipe! We always have done ours in a tote from Walmart. Happy Thanksgiving to you two!
Happy thanksgiving, do you place the whole bucket in your refrigerator? Not sure about leaving out at room temp for 24 hours
@johnthor. It is cold outside these days. I put mine in an unheated room, outside under cover or maybe a balcony.
Thank you for the tip! That's a nice bird! 😋
Hope you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving day, how many are you feeding with a 22 pound turkey??

I put a clean bag of ice on my bird to keep under water lol
Do you cook your turkey for 15 minutes per pound? Of course checking temperature not to overcook. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍗
Sorry but you lost me at apple cider. I get violently sick if I eat/drink that.
