Thanx for the great views of vegas.i was there in 05.i rode shotgun with a trucker.who worked for taylor truck lines.outta northfield mn.went over the bridge to vegas.by the dam.my ist time there.so beautiful.loved it out west.beautyful scnery.washed his truck at the truck wash.slept at the estes trucking yard.got up early.to hit the road.i could just barely see the strip.lit up.i miss it.saw the welcome to vegas sivn.in the daytime.loved it out there.if i could.id hop a southwest jet to vegas.spend a week there.

Fly out to San Diego sometime! It's (in)famous for its very steep descent and having only one short runway, thanks to being almost surrounded by steep hills. You'll want to sit on the left to get a great view of downtown.
Can anyone who has flown on the legendary DC8 Super Sixty Series tell me if there is ANYTHING flying today which approaches the smoothness of flight and aerodynamic stability of those truly incomparable planes? I've heard it said that the 757 comes close (McDonnell-Douglas engineers are reputed to have designed it), but never having flown on one, I cannot say for myself. Come on, all my fellow Vietnam veterans! There must be someone among you who knows.
Being partial to Alaska Airlines, I am sorry the flight attendants weren't 100% for but I think anytime one goes through a airline buyout/merger, employee's need some TLC during the changeover. Even the cockpit crew did not sound all that convincing! Wasn't alcohol offered on the flight as it normally is???? You do really have opening a can of pop down quite well!!!
I'm flying on an A319 from PDX-SEA and a 737-900 from SEA-FAI on August 22nd. On August 27th, I'm flying on a 737-700 from FAI-ANC and a 737-900 from ANC-PDX.
That was 25R you departed from, 25L they usually land on. Another one different thing about this being a Virgin America plane besides the Alaska livery is that it has the Alaska beyond magazines in the seat pouch

Yup! It's not considered a carry-on though but a personal item...you're allowed 1 carry on & 1 personal item onboard
