    Hi, I usually use the best seller phone case for the best quality for my customers but the shipping cost $23.33. Because of production and tax costs and also it’s the holidays. I’m struggling to find a good price for the phone cases so I can make a profit, but I don’t want it too high or too low. what would you prefer is a good price for the phone cases I should do and also I’m also using the pay pal option so I’ll have to replenish it every time someone orders or put money in advance so people are able to get their orders. thank u very much for the video this was extremely helpful

    • @DoodlingWebDesigns
      @DoodlingWebDesigns  Год назад

      Hi, Daniel! I looked at my Printify (demo store), there is only one best seller tough phone case. There's only one print-on-demand provider that ships worldwide from $2.49 within 2 days. I'm not sure where you're shipping to you phone case to that would cost $23.33. Maybe it's the fast delivery time that's why it's that high?
      As for the price, normally, we would take only 20% - 40% profit margin. Like, 40% profit margin is that you get about $10.63 if the cost for you to pay Printify is about $15.94 per a phone case. So, you'd sell a phone case for $26.57. If the profit is 20%, you'd get only $3.99 per phone case, but you'd sell it for $19.93. I would check your competitors on Amazon and such to determine your price, if you want to make more profit, you'll add text on the product page why your product is better than your competitors; therefore, it's a little more expensive but it will worth their investment or something like that.

      @@DoodlingWebDesigns hi, and thank u I’m sure why it’s so expensive I’ve checked standard shipping is an extra 5 dollars and plus all the taxes that comes with it witch equals up to 23.33 is their any other way for me to lower the price ?

    • @DoodlingWebDesigns
      @DoodlingWebDesigns  Год назад

      @@danielg6503 I'm not sure how you'll be able to lower the shipping cost and taxes, especially taxes. We just can't lower the sales taxes!! That's a lot! As for the standard shipping cost is about $5, it's not that bad because some other websites have the same standard shipping cost. Maybe, you may want to add some text about sales taxes or something to let the customers know what to expect. Mostly, it depends where your customer's shipping address is, that's how much they charge the sales tax.

    Great video! just to clarify: so when a customer purchases an order it goes customer---> my bank account---> printify gets their money? Just double checking to see if the customer's money gets deposited first before printify takes out anything to avoid a negative amount in either my personal or business bank account?

    • @DoodlingWebDesigns
      @DoodlingWebDesigns  Год назад +2

      Hi Liv, thanks for the question! Printify will get their money when they charge your credit card to process your customer’s order. This process can happen almost at the same time when your customer pays for a product on your website. That money will be deposited in your bank account within 3 days. In your Printify account, it may take them a few days to process the order. You still need to use the money you get from your customer to make a payment to pay down or pay off your credit card that you have on file in your Printify account.

      Hi, Zara, that's a good question! You might have to install another tip plugin like "Order Tip for WooCommerce" to collect a tip or some other tip plugins. Then you can set up your Stripe account (you need to link your WooCommerce payment gateway to Stripe) to integrate with QuickBooks Online (QBO) to automatically import Stripe transactions into QuickBooks and then you can do whatever you want to do at your QuickBooks.

    • @DoodlingWebDesigns
      @DoodlingWebDesigns  Год назад

      Hi, there! Thanks for the question! You can set your Printify WooCommerce store in any currency, but Printify will charge you whatever currency you set in your Printify account for billing. When they pay you, your bank that is added to your Printify account can be a different currency. So, if your bank account is set with a different currency, Printify will charge you with the exchange rates provided by your bank. But, if you connect your Printify store with your WooCommerce store, you'll use your own payment gateway i.e. PayPal Standard, Stripe, WooCommerce Payments, etc., you should be able to set your own payout currency from there. They have different exchange rate fees that you may need to check with your payment gateway provider.

  • @adees3968
    @adees3968 Год назад +1

    Hi
    That was very informative
    Just one question
    When will printify charge you?
    In how many days from the placement of order by the customer.
    This is just to know if I will have the amount paid by the customer in my stripe/paypal account when printify takes the production+ shipping cost

    • @DoodlingWebDesigns
      @DoodlingWebDesigns  Год назад +1

      Hi Adee! Printify fees are included with a product you put in your store. They would charge you whatever less when your customer buys from your store. For example, if somebody bought a mug from your store that you set a price for $15.00, that mug’s price is about $7.00 at Printify when you had added it to your store. That $7 is the price the Printify team will get from you when they process the order within 1-3 business days, but your customer will pay for the shipping fee that you have to add to your store. So, you’ll get $8 for your revenue selling this mug. The shipping process can take up to 3-5 business days. So, Printify makes a deal with their print on demand providers on how much they’ll get from one another which they already include in a product price that whatever they set at Printify. Mostly, the shipping timeline depends on where your print on demand provider is located. This can be varied. When you add a product to your WooCommerce store from Printify, you have to pick a product from a provider, that’s when you’ll see the information about their ratings, available variants, processing and shipping times. Some of them can ship a product within 2 days if they live near your customer. Typically, Stripe/PayPal would hold your money only for 7 days if it’s your first order ever. You can place a test order at the beginning so that in the future after that they’ll deposit your money to your bank account within 3 business days.

      @DoodlingWebDesigns  Год назад

      @@creatingarte1015 That’s how the Printify pop up store works. They charge your customers shipping and delivery fees. They already cut the deals from each product cost with their print providers. So, you don’t have to pay for anything. They should not charge your credit card for anything. But, you’ll get your money at the end of each month from them. My video is quite different because you integrate your Printify store in WordPress to have your own website. @@DoodlingWebDesigns Hi Boolie. Thanks for your useful videos. I think you are the only one who makes videos about Wordpress joined with Printify. How wocommerce payments works? Simply you put your bank account and they pay you directly? I live in Spain, and i want to create a print on demand shop to sell in america, so i wil have to pay taxes for international transactions, and if woocommerce payments works without taxes i prefer it, because if i have to pay paypal or stripe taxes + international transaction taxes my benefits will be lower. I hope you can answer my question. Have a nice day!

    • @DoodlingWebDesigns
      @DoodlingWebDesigns  Год назад +1

      Hi, thanks for all the questions! The "WooCommerce Payments" is a good plugin by WooCommerce that you can see and manage all transactions, deposits, and disputes from your online store without opening another tab or browser to go to another payment website to do all that. There is also a testing mode in its settings so you can test it before you launch your website. It's very convenient to manage all transactions within one place. That's a big difference between using PayPal and Stripe, though.
      However, there are fees to use one of its payment methods for the WooCommerce Payments plugin. For example, if you select the payment method of your store to be credit card/debit card in the WooCommerce Payments settings. The fee is about 2.9% + $0.30 for each transaction made with U.S.-issued credit or debit cards. But for cards issued outside the U.S., there's an additional 1% fee. As for paying the international taxes to PayPal and Stripe, I'm not sure you have to do that when you use either one from Spain. As for the WooCommerce Payments plugin, it has a fee for each transaction, like PayPay and Stripe too. The base fees that they collect from each transaction are the same. I don't think you have to pay taxes to them directly, only each transaction fee they collect.
      Unfortunately, you still have to pay taxes in whatever country you plan to sell your products to the government. There's no way you can get away with that. I am not a CPA (certified public accountant) or expert in taxes or international sales tax, VAT, GST, and who knows what. If you're selling to the U.S., you have to configure your WooCommerce settings under the "Tax" tab to add the sales tax amount to the total sales of each transaction based on your customer shipping address. You should be okay there. It's because you pass on the sales tax amount to your customers to pay, which is added to each transaction so that you'll have that money to pay your sales taxes to the government.
      So, it's up to you which payment gateway you want to use with your online store. Paypal will charge you 1.50% plus a fixed fee based on currency using international cards. But, WooCommerce Payments will charge 1.50% for transactions paid using a card issued outside the U.S., plus 1% for conversion of currencies. At the same time, Stripe will charge 1% for international cards and only an additional 1% if currency conversion is required. But if you have a lot of transactions with very decent revenue each month, you can also talk or negotiate with either PayPal or Stripe to get a discount for each transaction fee. They'll give it to you. However, the WooCommerce Payments plugin was launched in late February 2020. It's not been around that long, like PayPal and Stripe. That's one thing to consider too. So, I'm not sure they will want to give you a discount fee for each transaction.

    Ok, so just to be clear
    If I sell something, the person who bought it will pay the amount I'm selling it for along with shipping. I get the full amount that they payed (shipping included) and then the shipping and the product cost gets deducted from my account
    Is that accurate? I'm wondering because I am afraid that if someone buys something, the shipping will get deducted from my profit margin on the product...

    • @DoodlingWebDesigns
      @DoodlingWebDesigns  6 месяцев назад

      @@user-lk8cf6dz5dIn that case if I didn’t add a sale tax in the video, that means the buyer or customer’s shipping address lives in the states that don’t collect the sale tax when you buy clothes online. As of the recording of this video, my shipping address is in PA, we don’t pay sale tax when we buy clothes or shoes online or at a physical store. But the sale tax law is different when you sell things online, you’ll collect the sale tax based on the buyer’s shipping address. If this sounds complicated, maybe you want to ask a CPA or a tax expert, I’m only a web developer. I hope this helps!
