Great video! I use to work at Centreville back in 2000, and I remember working to set up the park before it opened. Ended up falling into the log ride water as I had to jump across to the middle section. Also helped grease the tracks on the fire engine ride and worked on securing the train bridge. It was a fun job.

Loved this video. I work for a hometown amusement park and have learned over 10 years that guests don't get to see what it takes to open a seasonal park every year. If only they could see when we are there, in the last snow falls and cold rainy springs, getting the warm weather memories prepared again.

I used to work at a local carnival place. It was a permanent thing, not a traveling one but it had just a giant slide to the beach, ferris wheel, merry go round, a bunch of games and some food options so not really an amusement park. Once the music was turned off, it still wasn't that quiet or creepy with dozens of workers still around cleaning, counting, stocking and what not. Then after closing for the season, its really quiet but we worked during the day in one building so if anything it was boring. Rides were taken apart and leaves would gather until spring.

This year is also their first Holiday in the Park (a Christmas/Holiday seasonal celebration thing), and it'll be interesting to see the park covered in snow! Maybe if I'm lucky, a friend of mine who works there will get some pictures of the backstage areas...

TPMvids Yeah, Walt loved going up to workers as the park was being built and starting conversations with them! One time he gave my grandpa a $20 tip, which is now more than $150 after inflation. My grandpa ended up turning down a deal to work on the Florida project after Arrow was becoming too corporate, but it’s amazing he got to meet and work with Walt.

I would love to see sixflages New England all put away for the winter. It would be cool to see what it all looks like with all the massive parts of the rides removed. I hope you go to one of the parks so we can see what they look like after the summer season and the Halloween stuff is all said and done. Now that would be the coolest thing to see. Maybe someday you con go and record that so we can take a sneak peek at what goes into closing it up and maybe you can show what goes into getting it ready for opening day??? Just an idea. I love your videos they are so full of great info.

I haven't gone since I was 10! And it wasn't even complete at the time the family went. But I'd love to go gallivanting around The Enchanted forest theme park

We used to go to Lincoln Park in southeastern Ma. that closed years ago. There's housing being built there now and in the back we saw a large cog wheel that no doubt came from a ride laying in a work area. The carousel is now located at Battleship Cove in Fall River, Ma. where it can be seen and ridden.
