The gray is beautiful! You have a wonderful laugh! :O) My husband and I made a couch for our camper and we used drop cloth to make cushion covers and for the back of the couch. I also used the scraps to make pillow covers. We love it! I am looking forward to using drop cloths in our new home. (later this year)
Wonderful video. One caveat: if you're on a septic system, this much bleach will kill the bacteria in the septic tank. This is NOT GOOD. So doing this process outside in a bin is preferable. Then find somewhere away from the system to dump the water. Then dilute the area with a lot of water. Also, you could go to the laundromat.
I was looking for this type of video! I wanted to create a thin colored carpet to layer another carpet on top and wanted to know if I could dye a drop vloth because it was the prefect thickness. Thank you!
It depends. If you want to be able to dry your slipcover, versus hanging it to dry, be sure to dry the drop cloth in the dryer BEFORE you make your slipcover. I'd wash and dry it 2-3 times just to be sure the fabric fully "pre-shrunk". I'd also dry the dropcloth on "high". Everyone recommends taking 100% cotton slipcovers out of the dryer while they are still somewhat damp, to avoid wrinkling.
And you're too rude! Why even say anything at all if you are going to be negative? Many people have severe anxiety and/or a lack of confidence, so you could be causing them to go backwards just by your ugly words!
Thank you for the calm way you presented the information. I am wondering, can I skip the bleaching step and just dye the drop cloth?
Yes. You don’t have to bleach first to be able to dye. They are two separate processes to fill two different needs.
Loved this very to the point and simple to follow video! I’m redoing our not so pretty couch and this is exactly what I needed! Thank you 💗
Thank you for such an easy approach! Love your calm sit down walk through. God bless!
I’m so glad I stumbled across your video. I was wondering if this was possible.
Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏾✨

This is a great point and worth knowing. Thank you for sharing. I would have mentioned this but I didn’t learn it until afterwards.
I enjoyed your video ...looking forward to many more ...possibly how to use the drop cloths making pillows or couch covers

This Video is Perfect... Beautiful.
Such a good video ! Can't wait for this channel to blow up. :)
What camera are you using? It's so clear
Helpful video. You have a beautiful home.
How do you dry the cloth once its bleached and washed? Dryer or line dry?

did the drop cloth shed a lot of threads in your washing machine?
No it did not. It still had its hems when I washed it.
Please tell me size of your drop cloth mine is 9'x12' is that ok?
I've seen people cut the 9x12 in half and dye only half at a time with 1/2 bottle bleach each time...
Do you mean 1/2 cup bleach for every 5 gallons of water? You said 1/2 gallon of bleach for 5 gallons of water
No, she means half a gallon... You HAVE to use that much or it absolutely will not work!
Thank you 💕
does drop cloth shrink in the wash ?
Great question and I’ve been wondering about this. Would have been nice for presenter to answer your question.
Mine did shrink it was 100 percent cotton , check the label ,I washed and dried it in the dryer.
Too talkative
