    ( 14:20 ) This is a genius idea for fine tuning the fence for a perfect 90' to the rail, but the final cinching of those bolts better be done at the final stages when the fence is on the table and with a very long accurate square tool.

    Добрый день! Прекрасная работа!
    Меня смущает два момента.
    1. Кнопка включения, у вас пила около 2-х кВт подключена через выключатель освещения. рассчитанный максимум на 300 Вт. Магнитный пускатель и пара кнопок обойдутся в 10-15 евро, на фоне общих затрат на проект, мелочь. Но это общее место у домашних станкостроителей, на фрезерные столы и пилы в столах ставить клавиши от освещения.
    2. Ось поворотного механизма привязана не к грани фланца шпинделя, а к правой плоскости диска.Если вам придётся использовать диски другой толщины,то ось поворотного механизма окажется внутри тела диска, и все настройки окажутся не актуальными. Левая поверхность диска, независимо от его толщины, всегда находится в одной плоскости, так что логично её использовать как базу.
    В остальном, продуманность деталей и четкость исполнения выше всяких похвал.

    very interesting and useful video! congratulations! I have a question: does the fence stay parallel being a console? side force tends to bend it. and there is no back support

    • @ewdtrey
      @ewdtrey 3 года назад

      Many saws are built that way And do just fine. Materials and craftsmanship make a difference, but only testing will tell you if it's good enough. I've seen similar designs with similar materials do just fine.

    • @АлексейМаринчев-м1з
      @АлексейМаринчев-м1з 3 года назад

      @@ewdtrey I aßked not for curiosity. I intend to make such a sence. I built a fence with bushings moving on two pipes (from and tear).
      But the movement is not parallel ((((. Friction in bushings is small but it tilts the fence. I have to adjust its position to the disk manually each time

    • @ewdtrey
      @ewdtrey 3 года назад

      @@АлексейМаринчев-м1з might need to decrease the tolerance in the bushings so that they are tighter or at least tighten when clamped down. It might also help if you increase the length of the bushings along pipe/fence.
      Rockwell used to make a nice fence/pipe rail system that always stayed square(parallel to the blade)

    • @ewdtrey
      @ewdtrey 3 года назад

      @@АлексейМаринчев-м1з on most "pipe" rails the back rail is mostly there to keep the fence close to parallel when moving it. The front rail gives the distance and makes the final adjustment for parallel.

    • @АлексейМаринчев-м1з
      @АлексейМаринчев-м1з 3 года назад

      @@ewdtrey I do not have access to rockwell. With shipping costs it may be too expensivefor me. My bushings are tight enough. I used the sliding pair from a hand cutter for ceramic tiles. But the distance between them on a saw table causes asubstential tilt.
      The ball pairs for cnc machines could be a solution but a console T slider fence seems more suitable for me.
      I can also use an aluminium T slider bar and track for higher precision

    Good job, well done.
    One question though. Why not having some fixing on the back side of the table ? I mean just an L-Shape like on the front, but with not specific locking mecanism. It would put the whole assembly in tension, so there would be no possibility for it to move (for any reason).
    [Edit] Maybe it's just some overthinking on my side [/Edit]

    Simple, clearly robust and absolutely functional. Another masterpiece. Thanks for the measurements too. One question, which grade of ply did you use? I imagine it is a hardwood based ply given you tapped into it and the bolts didn't strip out.

      Thanks my friend. I used birch plywood, it's so hard and durable.
