Inflation and the Inflation Modified Effective Rate of Interest

We discuss the mathematical model of inflation as an effective annual rate. In doing this, we see that it counteracts the effective annual rate of interest in the same way a present value factor does. This leads us to constructing the inflation adjusted effective rate of interest.
