  • This video is for anyone planning to fly in to Rogers International Airfield in Ravenna, Kentucky. The techniques and advice in this video are advisory only. This is not formal flight instruction and should not be taken as such. Always know your own personal limitations as well as your aircraft’s.
    Prior permission and a liability waiver are required to fly in to Rogers. Arrangements can be made with the Airfield’s owner, Gene van der Walt, at gene@singing-hills.com. Waivers can be found on the Rogers International Airfield Facebook page and must be sent to rogersinternationalairfield@gmail.com.
    Further information on Rogers such as airfield coordinates, liability waivers, and details on Fly-In's (typically held on Memorial Day and in late October) can be found at the Rogers International Airfield page on Facebook.

    Very good strip familiarization briefing. Sadly, the runway end a bit too tight for turning my '46 Funk around because of its locking t/w design. But KY is great for motorcycling. Visiting your spring event that way is in order for me.

    Allen, great to meet you Monday at LEX when you were picking up the RV. Also, excellent video and very very helpful. I haven't been to any grass strips yet but may go to Miles Field to do a few T/O and landings for practice. Look forward to seeing you around!
