This put such a huge smile on my face! I know Jackie has wanted to travel back to Japan, but the pandemic and her back surgery put that on hiatus. It's so lovely to see that she's made her dream happen! Crossing my fingers I can make my dream mini-cation happen after nearly a decade of staying at home because of my chronic health and back issues. I'm only 33 dammit, and I'm going to make it happen!
I'm Canadian and I've always eaten my burgers and sandwiches "upside down" it just makes more sense for my brain, the toppings hit my tongue first not the meat and its a better texture and flavor experience!! :D Love your videos Jackie!!
Hey. I'm in New Zealand and i would do the same thing when placing a burger down, to put it upside down. For me this makes it a bit easier to pick up again as the sides are now raised off the surface a bit. Also you can pick it up with your fingers placed on the underneath part, which is easier imo, and then when you bring the burger to your mouth is the right way up!
Here in Germany there's always a special fry at McDonald's, which changes about every month. They have curly fries, waffle fries etc. The standard sauce for those is sour cream with chives. I love it! I've been vegetarian for a few years and they finally have a fake meat burger (McPlant) and fake chicken nuggets now. Both are pretty good! We also have the McRib year round and vegan chocolate ice cream!
Hey Jackie I love when Pat is in your videos. He's such a cool and funny person. His accent is the best. My favorite thing to do with McDonalds fries is to dip them in a Wendy's chocolate frosty. It's the best.
Thank you SO much for sharing your experiences with us! It is oddly comforting to know that wherever I go to McDonald's my order will be the same. The Big Mac is the same Big Mac wherever you go (including Uniontown PA, where they created the Big Mac). Also thank you SO much for sharing the ketchup ice cream... Reiganlief told me about it, said it was good I'm glad you liked it. It is also great to see my favorite Aussie 😍
My so-called weird food combo....which I'm finding out isn't that weird after all.....is dunking French fries in a chocolate shake. I first tried it at Wendy's (my first ever job in high school), and have loved it ever since. When at Wendy's, I use the chocolate frosty (the OG and best frosty) and their somewhat thicker fries, but it does work with other restaurants as well.
When placing a burger down while eating, it depends on the burger bun. If the bottom bun is pretty soggy, then I will set it down bottom up in order to even out the bun's soggyness....lol.
Not sure if all Aussies put burger upside down, but I do. My Macca's fav's are the mozzarella sticks with tomato chili relish, and the chocolate pies. Both are like seasonal specials. Weirdly enough, our paddies are thicker than those of what you ate.
I definitely think that samurai burger & the strawberry mochi pie looked absolutely delicious and I’m about to drool just looking at it through my phone screen right now 😅🤤😅
Yey🎉glad your posting more on this channel you are really good at vlogs thanks for showing us different mcds also I gotta agree with pat tomato sauce and ice cream no no no 😂xx love stace xx
Jackie I see why you picked Pat he's adorable and he's always agreeable. His voice is so calming for your wildness or should I say saltiness. As for the Big Mac it was very shy on lettuce. Well at least for the one I worked at 30+ years ago.
One of my grandsons hums while he eats. The better the food the better the humming and the louder it gets. It's adorable but I hope he grows out of it at some point (he's almost 7)
I just discovered how to make a walnut pie and it calls for homemade maple syrup with my husband's family also makes it's really delicious it's similar to a pecan pie. We also have a cherry tree so I love experimenting with that as well❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Big fan of DancingBacons if you've watched any of them! They always show off some cool McDonald's limited editions and such. Hope to make our way to Japan in the next 5 years, love your channels for years, and its nice to see masked people vlogs!
Australian here. In all honesty, I turn my burger upside down from time to time while eating, to get the flavours in a different order. I thought it was just a quirk, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
No pies at the moment in Northern Ireland but it's usually an apple pie when they do have them. The biscoff mcflurry is good though. (Lotus biscoff biscuits)
I'm a Montreal girl myself, NDG to be exact. Hearing you reference McDees in Montreal was cool! I'm still drooling over the Big Orange! This was very interesting to watch. It would be nice to have maybe an international month at Mcdees to try out the Samurai burger! Weird combo fries and mayo...not so wierd I guess.
I didn’t get notified about this upload which is a tragedy and a crisis because how dare I almost miss this! I love this vlog taste test commentary! 🤤 Also Jackie’s in Japan?! 😯👏👍❤️
The strawberry pie looks good. Michigan we have the strawberry crème or blueberry crème along with apple(when available). Normally the ice cream machine is broken and they are out of apple pies
Love watching these. I also have hey babied food before and my husband also laughs at me. BTW down south we have what is called a farm burger. It is a fried egg onto of a hamburger patty, You can top it with what you like. (Not a MC D)
Aussie gal here. I've been dipping my fries in the ice cream for almost 40 years, since I discovered it while pregnant. I have to say though, I've never heard of the ketchup & ice cream thing. Totally want to try that now. 😃
I’m Australian and I’m pretty sure I don’t put my burger upside down when I put it down but now I’m second-guessing my whole burger eating strategy as it’s been so long since I had a burgers that I’m now trying to work out if I do do it or not 😂😂😂😂 but my McDonald’s combo is doing a salted caramel Frapuccino with crushed Oreos which taste amazing and also doing a budget friendly/less bread, big Mac version. I order a cheeseburger without the mustard and ketchup and just add lettuce and then order Big Mac sauce on it or order it as a side sauce and then put it on my burger and it works out cheaper than ordering a big Mac and as I’ve heard weight loss surgery I can’t eat a lot of bread so cutting that middle part of bread out and also an extra meat patty out. It works great
Haha yay Aussies represent! Upside down burger sometimes 😅 cos the bottom bun always breaks, the top one is sturdier. But ketchup ice cream?! Yeah nahhhhh not an Aussie thing! I’ll try it next time though.
Fries dipped in ice cream just works! 🍟🍦 I think it's because the texture is almost like waffles and ice cream? But beans with strawberry?? Eh, don't know about that... 😅
I've always preferred the cherry over the apple pies, but they are seasonal. 🍒 We have some burger joints in town that serve eggs on burgers. I've not tried them myself, but I suspect I might like it. This was a lot of fun to watch!! 👍 Your interaction with Pat and your friend made it highly enjoyable!! 😂😂
Not sure what we had exactly in Germany since the menue changes the special items very fast but last time I had been to McDonalds we had a Oreo-pie so it was like a apple-pie but black, tasted like chocolate and was filled with a vanila pudding/cream. We also sometimes had a burger in the past called "Big Rösti" which has a potato-thingy, I think in America people call it "hash brown" in it. I don't remember too many of the special items tho cause I barly go to McDonalds and they are not there for that long if these items are sold
atleast they center the patties in the buns... down here in the US they litterly "SLAP" the burgers together and are SUPER dry.. Majority of the time the patties are hanging off the buns halfway!! Now your making me hungry for McDonalds.. lol
Tomato's are berries. They are an actual fruit. So it should be good! And I'm from the USA. Also, avocados are berries. They make AMAZING ice cream. Soooo good!
I would eat EVERYTHING that you showed ❤❤❤ I love trying new foods and experiencing new things like this, I just can’t afford to go get them😤😤😤 I’ll just live my best life vicariously through you 😊😊😊
I know.my comment is posted a bit after the video but the first thing I noticed is the appearance. I'm in the Midwest Kansas as A matter of fact. The point is that before you get your hamburger here it looks like someone took the bag beat it on a few walls before chucking it at the customer through the drivethrough window 😆
I was kinda hoping the Samurai bun would be black and/or red to match the wrapper. 😊 The pie brings back memories. I used to love a box of chicken nuggets and a hot apple pie for my lunch when I was in staff training for my first job way back in 1990. 😊 I stopped eating red meat 30 years ago so I haven't been to McDonald's for years. I'll have to go back and try their veggie options options. 😊
I’d love to try McDs in Japan and elsewhere - especially their seasonal menus. I’ve see a TikTok of Japanese girls emptying their ketchup and mustard directly into their nugget boxes then shaking the closed box up to get sauce covering everything. I’ve not seen anyone else try that! Not McDs, but when I was younger I used to love peanut butter and golden syrup sandwiches. A very weird combo, and you can’t taste either the peanut butter or the syrup…
Come have maccas in Australia, we have apple pies and we don’t all have tomato sauce on our soft serve lol also ever though of doing an Aussie craft kit vid
I live in the Netherlands and most eat their burger top side up. But I eat them upside down these days then I mess less (no idea why that is) I've been doing this since I got a disability in my arm.
I also put my burgers upside down because i also eat them like that, but i am not from australia - i am german ^^ also the ice cream is very popular with fries here
7:48 is honestly such an adorable moment between Jackie and Pat I love it ❤
Love these videos that Pat’s in. This was a fun one!😂
Maybe Pat should think about reading bedtime stories. I could fall asleep to his voice easily it's like very soft and calm.
Love Pat and Jackie!! I wish they brought their podcast back!

It makes me happy to see you guys in Japan. ❤
I found your channel when you were traveling and it makes me feel like all is normal again
You and Pat are ALWAYS so much fun to watch!
Thank you ☺️
I am so dang hungry now❤✨ What a treasure to see you and Pat together on vacation!
You seem to have a great time together❤👍

Okay, this American is JEALOUS.....McRib year round? yuuummy....the sour cream with chives for the fries sounds FABOULOUSLY yummy to me!!
The vegan nuggats are even better than the real ones. better crunch and more flavor.
The fries don’t change monthly here though

Hi, I'm Myriam from Brooklyn, NY. I also eat my burger upside-down. Love your videos.
Pa Larkin from Darling Buds of May used to eat ketchup with desserts including iced buns
I love how Pat said hello baby, priceless!😂
It was too much😂😂
@@NerdEJackieVlogs 🤣
Yay you posted on this channel! I love your laid back style this channel has.
It was so good to see more of Pat in this video. Jackie, more of seeing Pat please.

I’ve heard about this combo often so I think it’s safe to say many ppl agree with you
In Canada on the east coast you can get a McLobster.
When placing a burger down while eating, it depends on the burger bun. If the bottom bun is pretty soggy, then I will set it down bottom up in order to even out the bun's soggyness....lol.

JACKIE you are the reason I am now obsessed with the Japanese culture. Thank you 😊
The mochi pie looks so tasty, would love to try that someday🤤🍓
I definitely think that samurai burger & the strawberry mochi pie looked absolutely delicious and I’m about to drool just looking at it through my phone screen right now 😅🤤😅
Awesome video. Thanks for reviewing those and teaching us a little more about culture. ❤
Yey🎉glad your posting more on this channel you are really good at vlogs thanks for showing us different mcds also I gotta agree with pat tomato sauce and ice cream no no no 😂xx love stace xx
Pat takes the smallest bites! So polite 😂
I like how everyone had their own opinions. Each person has a different taste. Pretty cool!
Yay! The awaited Japan vlog!
pats hello baby is the best love seeing him on the vlog
Love watching the Adventures of Jackie and Pat ❤ RIP Pat’s pants 😂
Jackie I see why you picked Pat he's adorable and he's always agreeable. His voice is so calming for your wildness or should I say saltiness. As for the Big Mac it was very shy on lettuce. Well at least for the one I worked at 30+ years ago.
I’m definitely the “wild” one in the couple 😆
I love the ice creame with curry sauce and dipped with fries. Have a nice trip.
I take a bite of my burger upside down. Lol.
One of my grandsons hums while he eats. The better the food the better the humming and the louder it gets. It's adorable but I hope he grows out of it at some point (he's almost 7)
Aaaah welcome to Japan 🥰 waving at you from Saitama

When Pat says "Hello baby" 😂😂
Whoo! I'd love to try those flavors. And I love any video that features Pat. You two are so adorable together.
I dropped a stitch in my knitting laughing so hard at this. Hop we see more japan videos.
It makes me happy to see you guys in Japan. =) The food looks so delicious. Even Mcdonald's in Japan is different and it is a good thing=3
We have double chocolate pie in the UK at the moment. So tasty. The strawberry mochi looked yummy as well. Making me hungry 😅
No pies at the moment in Northern Ireland but it's usually an apple pie when they do have them. The biscoff mcflurry is good though. (Lotus biscoff biscuits)

I like the strawberry creme pies (US seasonal menu)!
I'm from the States here and my partner says he puts the burger upside down
Love watching these. I also have hey babied food before and my husband also laughs at me. BTW down south we have what is called a farm burger. It is a fried egg onto of a hamburger patty, You can top it with what you like. (Not a MC D)
Hey Jackie, hey Pat, happy to see pat in a video . How is Sika and husband doing? We miss seeing her.😢 I’m jelly. Wanted to visit .
I've always been told this is weird, but I dip my mcdonald's fries and nuggets into honey 🍯... not honey mustard, actual honey, and it's delicious 😋
I have dipped my nuggets in honey my whole life and I'm 46. So you're not the only one!
Same
Aussie here. I don't put the burger down once I start eating. 😅
😂 that seems fair
Aussie gal here. I've been dipping my fries in the ice cream for almost 40 years, since I discovered it while pregnant. I have to say though, I've never heard of the ketchup & ice cream thing. Totally want to try that now. 😃
Do it.

Fries dipped in ice cream just works! 🍟🍦 I think it's because the texture is almost like waffles and ice cream? But beans with strawberry?? Eh, don't know about that... 😅
Woooow Pat is inversted. I'm loving this ;)
Not an Australian thing at all. I'm from El Salvador and do the upside down burger too, but I don't know anyone else who does it 😂
I've always preferred the cherry over the apple pies, but they are seasonal. 🍒 We have some burger joints in town that serve eggs on burgers. We don’t have cherry 😱
@NerdEJackieVlogs It's a February thing I think in US. But it is tasty. 🤗
Not sure what we had exactly in Germany since the menue changes the special items very fast but last time I had been to McDonalds we had a Oreo-pie so it was like a apple-pie but black, tasted like chocolate and was filled with a vanila pudding/cream. atleast they center the patties in the buns... down here in the US they litterly "SLAP" the burgers together and are SUPER dry.. Majority of the time the patties are hanging off the buns halfway!! Now your making me hungry for McDonalds.. lol
My grandfather would poor ketchup on his ice cream :p
Ohh you and your husband are just the cutest together ❤
I am Australian, yay

I love these videos! So cute!
I always eat my burgers upside-down And I do eat frys with my shake.
When I was a kid I used to eat peanut butter and black pepper sandwiches.
I would eat EVERYTHING that you showed ❤❤❤ I love trying new foods and experiencing new things like this, I just can’t afford to go get them😤😤😤 I’ll just live my best life vicariously through you 😊😊😊
I put mine upside down. Actually I put all sandwich food that way.
We need compilation of Jackie being taken out of context😂😂😂
I'm Aussie and I don't put my burgers upside down 😂
Jackie! Where do you get your beanies from?
My favorite when it comes out, is the Mac rib.
The big Mac looks so neat I wish that the American big Macs would like that neat
The best McDonald's food I've had was in Germany. Their pork and eggs are just outstanding.
We had Irish McNuggets and I swear they were far tastier there then they were in the US 😂 what a fun video!
Those nuggies look exactly like the ones here in Aus. I want nuggies now!
I was kinda hoping the Samurai bun would be black and/or red to match the wrapper. 😊
The pie brings back memories. I used to love a box of chicken nuggets and a hot apple pie for my lunch when I was in staff training for my first job way back in 1990. 😊
I stopped eating red meat 30 years ago so I haven't been to McDonald's for years. I'll have to go back and try their veggie options options. 😊
We don't have pies at all here near Chicago USA.
"Get the melon soda if you're in japan."
Me: "I can't, honeydew makes me sick."
our McD's in our town in Ontario makes very messy Big Macs with too much sauce and tons of lettuce. LOL
I ❤ watching you and Pat together..so cute.
Come have maccas in Australia, we have apple pies and we don’t all have tomato sauce on our soft serve lol also ever though of doing an Aussie craft kit vid
Thanks for taking us on your adventures it's my daughter's dream to go to Japan so we are saving
Love your vlogs and love you!
Here in the US we have strawberry cheesecake pie and in around the fall and winter months we have a pumpkin pie which is pretty good 🤤🤤🤤
Omg I’m jealous
The pie actually says strawberry daifuku on it, which is a strawberry wrapped in red bean paste wrapped in mochi.
I live in the Netherlands and most eat their burger top side up. But I eat them upside down these days then I mess less (no idea why that is) I've been doing this since I got a disability in my arm.
I just noticed you two are wearing the same glasses!!
We are 😅
I also put my burgers upside down because i also eat them like that, but i am not from australia - i am german ^^ also the ice cream is very popular with fries here
